Re: Sensitive Skin Prep/Rotating Masks
As Julie said, no one can really answer your question about your comfort level switching masks periodically - although I have been lately. I am going between Respironics Dream Wisp - a pillow over the nose like a clown nose - and Resmed AirFit N30i - under the nose pillow. Neither is perfect, when I...

Re: Silicone Allergy
I’m sorry you’re having issues with allergies. And sleep apnea, since it seems most masks are made of silicone. I also used the AirTouch for quite a while. Comfy. My insurance covered one new mask a month. I’d get it, but they lasted longer than a month for me, so I always had a fresh one handy sinc...

Re: CPAP with humidier in RV
I’ve camped for 7 days straight in an RV, in a remote area, no campground or services. My husband put in a “cigarette lighter” type outlet and I bought a converter for the CPAP machine. Worked like a charm. Used humidity every night, never ran out of power for anything in the camper.

Re: Airfit f30i tabs are breaking on mask
I have used the AirFit F30 and never had any issues with the tabs, or anything related to attaching it/using it.
Maybe contact the DME or wherever you got it from and/or contact Resmed directly. I’m sure they’d have a Customer Service link.

Re: Going from full face mask to nasal -- advice?
I used a full face mask for over 2 years since I started using CPAP. Last visit to my sleep doc he suggested nasal mask with a chin strap, even though I'm a "mouth breather." Lo and behold, it worked! Everything is better, AHI, minimal leaks and most important, sleeping! After a couple weeks, the ch...

Re: OT: I have Shingles and it really sucks
I had a mild case. My husband had a severe case with complications. His face was paralyzed on one side, could not even close his eye, nerve damage and severe pain. It was horrible. 3-4 years later he still has some effects. We have both gotten the shingles vaccine so if we get shingles again, the sy...

Re: Dents in hair.
Yes, I get dents in my hair and dents in my cheeks! More than a month ago I switched from a full-face mask to a nasal mask. The dent from the full-face (which I'd used for over 2 years) is gonna be permanent. Luckily when I smile you can't see it, so just keep smiling.

Re: FDA Class !! prescription acquirement for CPAP Mask
Interesting questions. I have no idea about why an Rx is required for masks. I've bought some supplies on Amazon but I have insurance and most things are less out of pocket if I use a DME. I'm also wondering why you couldn't get a copy of your eye exam results to buy glasses (or contacts) somewhere ...

Re: Has anyone tried a light box/light therapy to regulate sleeping hours?
I don't think I've noticed any real difference so far, although any benefit will hopefully be seen in that maybe I'll go to sleep earlier tonight or wake up earlier tomorrow....well, not earlier than 6, but earlier than 8, maybe. The difference will not be immediate. I didn't even notice that my "b...

Re: Mask finally wore out!
I've been using the AirTouch F-20 for more than a year. I usually change to a new mask every 2-3 months or so. No set schedule. They don't get grungy, I wipe lightly with a baby wipe. Never used a liner. But I do use moisturizer on my face so figure I should change it out. I have insurance and it en...

I seem to be breathing through my mouth more and more lately. Don't know why.
