Re: New to the Board

Isn't she though. You say the new guy needs help, even though he's doing very well, but you didn't offer any help, just talked about yourself. At least granny didn't pick on your spelling and grammar. Guys this is rediculous. I'm sorry, I thought this was this place for positive encouragement and r...

For myself when I I was I might I'm getting I now require I begin I tend If I my I've  Uh huh, you're funny Granny, very clever. Point taken, but its the truth, if I can't talk about myself, and relatable experience to help someone, what do i have? Guy needs help and *I* dont want to see him ...

Re: Hi guys...6 months

I also would rip my mask off and would wake up and find holding in pieces in my hands the initial couple of weeks when I began. Everyone is different, I'm loathe to tell you that you can absolutely side sleep with the mask just because I can do it and many others on here have figure out ways to cope...

Re: New to the Board

No worries man, you're doing everything right. The point is that you're trying and that's the only real rule in cpap therapy is that you wear the mask. Whatever else you do to get there, fill in the blanks as you see fit. This forum literally runs the gambit of experiences and many of them are polar...

Re: Just got my new AirFit F30i

My CPAP said I had a good fit -- and I did! It was more comfortable, no trouble breathing through the nose and the CPAP said it was a good fit with no leaks all night. I hope I just remember how to do it tonight! https://i.ibb.co/7k9m8b5/myair-cpap.jpg Use a magic marker to mark on the velcro strap...

Re: ResMed F30 needs a large cushion

[/quote] The Medium definitely seems to have a "nostril area" that isn't wide enough to comfortably fit my nostrils. The problem is that they have those stiffer sidewalls that go up around your nose - masks like the Dreamwear FFM just have a slit that your nose rests on, and not much of a sidewall t...

Re: Loud whirling noise - is my new Dreamstation faulty?

Well apparently my Dreamstation is just as loud, just never aware of it at night with the fan running, but yeah during the day while paying attention to it, even with the humidifier attached, either full of water or empty, is loud as crap. I was surprised.

Re: Dreamware noise is keeping me awake

I got the deafing roar of the air tube channels when side sleeping with the Dreamwear, especially with me cradling the side of my face in my hand, basically lending a megaphone to aid the noise from the tube. Great mask, except for that, and finicky to get adjusted right to stop leaks.

Re: Newbie Struggling

Wow, well it sounds like most of the hard work you've already done, I think you're pretty much there. Having good and bad nights is normal and you just try to keep at it (that is until you and your machine become best buds anyway) Your main issue getting back to sleep sounds like just needing to try...

Re: Best inexpensive FFM that does not leak at bridge of nose?

It seems to me like you have competing priorities, comfort / performance or low cost. Pretty much all of the masks worth using are all in the same ball park. I just did a quick search on cpap.com, the Dreamwear actually came in about $30 less than the F30i ($150), and Airfit F20 also $150, https://w...

Re: 1.Traveling, 2. Murmur 3. cleanig everyday?

I have traveled with my full Dreamstation setup twice and it's a bit of a pain. On the plane it is only counted as a personal bag, not the carry on. Once I used it's carrying case with the strap, and the other time I packed inside my backpack, flew 18 hours and lugged it with me all up and down the ...

Re: Sudden mouth issues - trying F30 mask

The F30 does not need to be really cranked down on the tightness in fact if you do, it very well may cause a leak, so in that respect, i don't expect you to get a sore septum from it. The straps should be slightly slack, for when the mask inflates, it tightens up just enough to seal. I do get strap ...

Re: Sudden mouth issues - trying F30 mask

The F20 was my starter mask, which I actually used (amazingly) for something like 8 or 9 months. It took me that long to wake up and realize that I should probably look into getting some other type of mask. I did briefly try the Airtouch and I thought it was going to be great, but they don't hold up...

Re: Anxious about QuietAir vent on ResMed F30

The F30 is very quiet. I can tell you a fullproof way to find out exactly how quiet it is by washing the elbow tube, shake the excess water out and hook it up to pressure, i promise you it will make a hissing racket for a few minutes until it dries, thats how much air it vents that you dont hear.
