Re: New no headgear nasal mask....Bleep/DreamPort...not a pillow and not a cushion
It just seems to me like having adhesive on your nose every night would result in clogged pores(pimples), and/or sores after a period of time. I'm assuming it's 'sticky' enough to not pull off easily. It will be interesting to hear what folks think of it after it gets into full production, and hits ...

Re: Getting humidity right
I guess in Florida we don't have these issues. I leave my humidifier generally set on 4, and that's with a non-heated slimline hose. I have never seen the first bead of moisture inside my hose, much less having been sprayed with water! I know it's working because my water level goes down, I gu...

Re: wide variances on AHI numbers
Here is another 'generic' piece of info off a ResMed page. Not much in terms of detail here either. I left mine on standard response FWIW.
"AutoSet Response comfort setting offers gentler pressure increases and a smoother night’s sleep to help patients with high pressure intolerance."

Re: CPAP dangerous for Mild OSA?
Were I you,....I would change it to Auto 7Min/20Max and EPR 3. The 7Min inhale will take full advantage of the EPR, and make it easier to exhale. The pressure will be able to run wherever it needs to should you experience any obstructive events. That's just what I would do of course. Good luck!

Using the same code (BF25) the pillows are $14.25, and the headgear is $18.75 just to let everyone know.

Re: AirFit P10 headgear question,......
When you first use the P10 you can feel like it hurts the nose night 3 was worst for me but then gets better I love the minimal size of it I kind of figured there might be a bit of soreness at first with this style. As you know the Brevida design is totally different even though they are both consi...

Re: wide variances on AHI numbers
I'm glad to hear things are going better for you. You just spoke about the response setting, and it being easier to breathe with the soft setting. I was always under the impression that standard/soft response settings only related to how quickly the machine raised the pressure in response to an even...

Re: Having trouble with "elitism"
Yes, there are always a few on every forum board that will turn off a certain number of newbies if you let them. It's the internet,....don't take anything personally, and partake of the vast amounts of knowledge that can be found here. I bought myself a brand new AirStart10 Cpap last year from our s...

Re: AirFit P10 headgear question,......
Thanks to all for the input. I should get to start experimenting with the P10 next week since I went ahead and ordered one last night from our sponsor. I also picked up another Brevida mask for a back up at the sale price too. The Brevida does great for me as long as I stay on my back, or just turn ...

Re: AirFit P10 headgear question,......
I just watched the video review by the Lanky Lefty, since it wasn't a basic manufacturer 'instructive' video. Three things that make me hesitant to buy one now. 1. No swivel at the hose connection. I am extremely used to having a swivel that keeps the hose oriented correctly. I don't know how much n...

AirFit P10 headgear question,......
I am considering getting a P10 to try while the BF sale is going on, and it's less than 75 bucks. I still like my Brevida just fine, but I have always wanted to try the P10 since it seems so popular. Anyhow,.......what's the deal with the headstrap? It appears to not be adjustable, and I can't fatho...

Re: CPAP dangerous for Mild OSA?
Without making light of your concerns,....yes, you are being irrational. You are not going to die in your sleep from not breathing. I also have mild/moderate OSA (worse than you though), with a low prescribed pressure. I have NEVER had any frightening episodes whatsoever, even though I HAVE had a fe...
