Re: Resmed water chamber issues
or, maybe it is the water. I know that in San Antonio, TX the water is VERY hard. I would not use plain tap water if your water is very hard. That could cause more wear & tear on your equipment. I know that we went through 2 washing machines, 3 hot water heaters, 2 dishwashers, & 2 refrigerators and...

Re: baby wipes
I too was afraid to use wipes with alcohol in it based on "recommendations" from God knows who.. forums, CPAP videos, I realize not everyone knows what they are talking about, but it's hard to know who to trust with the truth. What about wipes with bleach? Will bleach damage silicone?

Re: Resmed water chamber issues
You seem to be doing everything right, so I'm not sure what the problem is with your water tanks. Aren't all Resmed water chambers & equipment made in the same place no matter where you live in the World? Or are there different manufacturing plants globally? If Resmed has different manufacturing pla...

Re: Resmed water chamber issues
I have a Resmed Airsense 10 and none of my water chambers have leaked. I only get replacements every 6 months because that is what my insurance will pay for. I only travel once a year by plane & I use the travel bag from Resmed that came with my equipment & I carry my CPAP equipment on the airplane ...

Re: baby wipes
I agree that CPAP wipes are ridiculously priced. For my daily cleaning, I use Wal-Mart brand or Clorox brand of wipes, (not baby wipes) without bleach, alcohol, or aloe vera. No allergy reactions to them.

Re: What to do when all methods of sleep apnea treatment are exhausted?
I just got back from vacation.Did not take my laptop with me, and was "off the grid". That's the way I like vacations. Reader, I hope you are doing better with your CPAP experience. I agree with the people who said they had better luck with Resmed products. Since you have tried the Respronics Amarav...

Re: What to do when all methods of sleep apnea treatment are exhausted?
Have you tried the Resmed F30 or Phillips Respronics Amaraview? I found that the F30 worked great for me. I have not tried the Amaraview since the F30 worked. Both are full face masks, but smaller profile, covers your mouth & cushion rests under your nose. I would not give up on CPAP therapy until y...

Re: OT:Bunch of jerks
I got eaten alive by the sharks & stopped posting for a long time. I was bullied as a child before technology so didn't have to deal with internet bullying at the time, but now I am finding that I don't appreciate being bullied by grown adults on the internet in forums that are designed to offer hel...

Re: OT:Bunch of jerks
you will get along fine as long as you don't mention SoClean or any other expensive cleaner or gadget. Mentioning certain things on this forum causes blood in the water & the sharks come out. Soap and water will keep your equipment clean and is cheaper. But if you want to buy SoClean or any other ga...

Re: This really bugs me
I stopped looking at my scores. It got boring. I figure if my doctor gets concerned, I will care then. By the way, I had my initial sleep study in April of last year, so just passed my 1 year anniversary of wonderful APAP use. It only took me 6 different masks before I found the one I could tolerate...

Re: Distilled Water or Filtered?
They don't recommend tap water unless you boil it on the stove for 5 min (rolling boil). or you can put the water in a glass measuring cup & nuke it in the microwave for 2-3 min. It's about using STERILE water. That is why distilled water is recommended and filtered water is the next best choice if ...

Re: ResMed AirFit N30i nasal mask now available at cpap.com
I will not be trying the Airfit N30i mask because I need FF, but I am not surprised it fit so well & didn't leak even with a lot of movement. This is why I love the F30. Same thing, better cushion and no leaks.

Re: ResMed AirFit N30i nasal mask now available at cpap.com
I hope Resmed comes out with a full face version, perhaps they will call it F30i. I loved the hose on the head when I tried Dreamwear. Unfortunately the Dreamwear FF mask leaked too much and made obnoxious noises that sounded like passing gas. I am currently using the F30 which I love.. best mask I ...

Re: Resmed AirFit F30
Pugsy, I agree, why buy a FF mask if you don't have to? I loved the Dreamwear nasal pillow mask. Even though the medium frame was a tad too big, it worked better than the original cushion. I would have stuck with Dreamwear nasal pillow if I could get chin straps to work. I tried EVERY chin strap on ...

Re: ResMed AirFit N30i nasal mask now available at cpap.com
I love my F30 mask. It doesn't leak like my dreamwear FF did. the small cushion on the F30 seals better than Dreamwear's small cushion did so... I prefer the F30 mask for me. I am hoping that Resmed will make a FF version. I will definitely want to try it. I also prefer being a "hose head" rather th...
