Re: Anyone heard about the Transcend Micro?
I got an email from Transcend as I have bought a couple of CPAPs from them, but was wondering if there have been any reviews or articles other than directly from them. I am not planning to rush out and buy one this instant, but if they are as good as they claim to be, maybe some time in the future....

Re: Resmed Airsense10 autoset manufacturing defect
This is the cpap machine I have now and I do not know of any defect and my unit has not had any issues since ive had it. I believe that most users have not had any issues. To be clear, I would recommend this unit to anyone, and I would purchase this unit, or the new AirSense 11 in a heartbeat. Havi...

Re: Resmed Airsense10 autoset manufacturing defect
The DeOxit may help. To clarify the issue: https://www.thingyx.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/plug-cpap.png The plug on the cord is not the issue. Confirmed by testing the unit with multiple power supplies. The center area (for the pin) on the receptacle, is tiny. You cannot get a paper clip inside,...

Re: Resmed Airsense10 autoset manufacturing defect
In my case, the issue has nothing to do with the AC outlet. It’s a problem with the conductor from the plug making contact with the conductor in the Jack. This week our cleaning lady must have moved the unit, and the plug wasn’t making contact again. I was able to wiggle the plug back and forth a fe...

Re: Resmed Airsense10 autoset manufacturing defect
I just got a replacement unit as my 2 year + 3 month old Airsense 10 Autoset unit that has a mechanical problem. When I plug the power cord into the back of the machine, no power. I have to wiggle it, pull it half way out, push it in slowly, wiggle it, repeat until it makes a connection. The proble...

Re: Sharing Resmed Airsense Data with new provider.
the medical practice is also the DME as far as I know. IF it were me I would not do business with a doc the sells the same equipment he will suggest I use - the reason is simple - he will be more interested in selling for his profit than treating for my health. I'm not sure how much my new plan wil...

Re: Sharing Resmed Airsense Data with new provider.
Thank you for the reply. I need to do a bit more research, but the medical practice is also the DME as far as I know. So, if I share the serial # they can get the data. That answers the question. All of this will depend on if it makes sense to go through insurance. When I started therapy, my plan wo...

Sharing Resmed Airsense Data with new provider.
I have been using an Airsense 10 Autoset for about 4 years, and with the help of this board, I posted Oscar Charts and got my machine dialed in. I typically have AHIs under 1.0 most nights, and I have been sleeping well. I have pretty severe Asthma, and I have been seeing a respiratory Dr. who has d...

Re: ResMed Air Sense 10 won't power up
I have had a possibly similar problem with my unit. The brick is plugged in tight, but sometimes the plug going into the yellow connector on the machine does not make a good connection. I had a time when I thought I could not get it back working, but then I took a small metal nail file, and ran it a...

Re: Lightest and most flexible tubing?
Rob - Make sure that you get on of the resmed elbows to go with your tubing. The exit tube on the Z2 is a bit too small to snugly hold many of the hoses.
I have a Z2 and found that out as I was trying different hoses.

Re: New Bria’s Z2 characteristics
I currently use a Resmed Airsense10 APAP. I just purchased today a Brias Z2 for travel. Testing it tonight I find it impossible to use. It is set to auto start APAP. Initial pressure is 5. I start breathing and it starts at 00. A few seconds later trying to inhale with zero air pressure I get an in...

Re: ResMed AS10 Std vs Dishwasher Safe Humidifier Tank
I have had a few leaky tanks with both types. No rough handling, or drops. I have seen some reports of this possibly being a run of bad tanks. I had purchased one from Amazon last summer, and it was leaking a few months later. I purchased another from the sponsor. It was fine for about 4 months, and...

Re: Resmed AirMini or Breas Z2 Auto?
I use the same main machine you have, the Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset. As many users report that unit is considered to be the best in terms of quality of therapy. While I cannot speak to the Resmed Air Mini, I have seen some positive reviews. As long as you use one of the supported masks, it may be a...

Re: resmed airsense 10 power problem
I know this is an old thread, but I had pretty much the same problem on my Airsense10 Autoset unit a few times. I got a replacement brick, and it did not solve the problem. Wiggling the plug that connects to the yellow socket on the unit would make the unit come on intermittently. After fiddling wit...
