Re: Precise Meaning of MIN and MED
Thank you kindly. I didn't make myself clear. All I see is MIN with a figure under it and then MED with a different figure. I have been assuming that these are the most important figures to take note of. So when it says 87 under MIN 87 is the owest my SPO2 went and 95 under MED is the average? I did...

Precise Meaning of MIN and MED
Hi_ iahev been assuming that MIN is the lowest my SPO2 went and MED the average. My figures are usually around 89 for MIN and 95 for MED. I have looked for the meanings in the help sections but couldn't find the definitions. It is many years since I did Maths! Have I assumed correctly? I should add ...

Re: OSCAR v1.5.1 released - September 23, 2023
I have the new update plus a new machine, a Loewenstein ProMax. I love the machine. However, Oscar always reports under MIN 0.00 yet it has numbers under the others. EPAP 0.00 IPAP 0.00 Obstruction level 0.00 Measured pressure 0.00 rRMV 0.00 Other markers show figures under tohe MIN. Just wondering ...

Re: Napping
Thank you Pugsy. As I had finished writing I had realized for myself that the was the pain causing it. I too have spinal spondylosis and hip pain but have learned to go back to side sleeping with a firm pillow between my legs and that has helped enormously. It hurt a lot for the first few weeks but ...

Re: Napping
I never sleep without the mask. I think it has been my leg making me so tired.

Napping
Today I napped for the first time since I have been on treatment. When I got up I didn't feel so hot but thought once I'd had my drugs, had my caffeine, I'd feel okay. I didn't. I went back to bed for another 90 minutes by 3pm. I was wondering if this could be the cause of a lot of tiredness this la...

Re: Newly-diagnosed in the UK - need help
I was admitted to the Royal Papworth in August 2019. They are excellent. I was dying at the time. AHI 60+ and heart failure. I had no idea. Although I was booked in again, I had broken my leg in the meantime, so didn't get back until the December. They were surprised to see how much I changed. Lost ...

Re: Loewenstein Smart Max readings
Thank you both for your response. Last night I had a 0.00 AHI. This is not unusual when I have eaten too many carbs. (Studies show that carbs improve SA but also make one fat!) My husband says he doesn't hear anything from me and he often is reading for a couple of hours whilst I am sound asleep. I ...

Hi-I received a new machine from the hospital a week ago. (Yes we get given them here and new masks or parts whenever we ask). It is a Lowenstein Prisma Smart Max. I have noticed taht it always gives a reading of 0.00 uner Min but gives figures for Med etc I also note it gives red lines for Vibrator...

Re: Raised AHI after swimming solved
Sorry for the very late answer, Disacciation is when when , in the face of trauma, 'switches' off. It is a survival mechanism learned in childhood. It isn't necessarily a good thing in adulthood however in my case it enables me to remove my consciousness away from my physical pain but not so much I ...
