I actually thought it was down right counter-logical (can't use British undestatement in the yes or no realm of logic, can I?)

If you mean how to get into the FAQ itself - and all those other buttons - you have to click on the text, not on the icon.

video recorder

I'm pretty sure that where I had my test they usually just focus a camera on you, in order to watch you sleep (e.g. is your mouth open during titration ?). Recording everyone's hours and hours of sleep is not very practical - where do you store all those tapes (or digital data) who has time to watch...

multi what-ters?

The old pros are multi-maskers
The newbies are single-maskers
And some us are hopefully "no not this one, maybe another one"-maskers....

I think the title is fine. If a person isn't interested enough to click on a topic called "Curiosity" that person probably won't post to this thread. I agree. Maybe forum admin could change this into a sticky? As for me... Hmm... that's a hard one. I'm a psychologist in heart soul and acdemic train...

I met the sleep/cpap technician today, and she was very inofrmative. According to her, since I was awake and tossing about in bed for most of the titration study, most of the apneas reported are an artifact and some could have been the result of the titration attempts. Likewise the desats, which cou...

melatonin research

Read this, http://web.mit.edu/newsoffice/2005/melatonin.html and note espeicially: In earlier research, scientists led by Professor Richard Wurtman, principal investigator for the current study, showed that only a small dose of melatonin (about 0.3 milligrams) is necessary for a restful effect. Take...

Do you mean that white stuff that is hypoalergenic, for use instead of the usual sticky tape (aka "plaster" in my country, but I know plaster is the stuff casts are made of, and I don't mean that, I mean the part that sticks bandaids to your skin...).

Hi Noah I asked the doctor for a sleep study because I found myself waking up from the sound of my snores, choking, with my heart pounding; They reported my body position for the first study - though unreliably, I was, for instance, awake on my back for a long time (abt. 13 mins) and that postion, o...

SQL admin password

I don't know the encore pro (yet?) but I do know SQL (Microsoft's)- it's older versions install automatically without an Admin password, but you can give it one. Firewalls are good, and should be used. However blank admin passwords - in anything - are a very bad idea. They are the equivalent of leav...

I was titrated during the 2nd test. However, I just read another post from littlebaddow about sleep position. So I looked at my detailed results and interestingly enough, I slept more on my back during the 2nd test I'm in a similar situation: AHI of 4 in the first PSG, sleeping only on my side, and...

Could it be as simple as that Of course it could People having nudgeing others for eons to turn them on their sides so they would snore less. They even suggested using tennis balls in a pocket in the small of your back to help you stop snore and solve sleep apneas. If so, it's another very strong a...
