The N30 has velcro?
No. The N30 doesn't have velcro but the N30i does. It has headgear that looks exactly like the headgear you got with the P10 package I sent you with the buckle. No velcro anywhere.
Original comments were about the N30 or N30i choice and then a newbie came in today and mentioned the N30i and the problem that he/she has with the velcro. You will find that happens a lot.
ResMed was stupid in naming these 2 masks....totally confusing.
Gotcha.
I have the N30i and kinda like that it has velcro. Too bad there’s no adaptation for an N30. Aftermarket or whatever.

I am happy to report I just traded in my n30i mask for an n30. I am going to put one of the old-school straps and get rid of the buckle. The main reason for the switch is the TMJ pain I was getting with the n30i/Pressure on the side of my head.
I really like the way the cushion feels underneath my nose. And I can scratch that itch when it itches!
I can’t wait to go back to sleep!
I’ll let you know what I think if you’re still in here. I’m pretty sure this is the answer though. At least for me.
Good luck!

the velcro on the rear head strap wears out quickly
Are you frequently separating the velcro to adjust the headgear?
Unfortunately yes, which I'm sure is part of the problem..
