Re: Medicare Open Enrollment is Here
Generally speaking, a Medicare Advantage plan gets a set reimbursement per covered life. The more they have to do for you, the less they make.

Re: Adapter for overseas travel
Like a laptop computer, the power brick is the transformer! You may need an outlet adapter, but that's all you need.

Re: Best Time to Take Magnesium for Sleep?
I am somewhat ignorant about the use of Mg supplements for sleep. Is this for control of muscle cramps or restless leg syndrome?

Re: New to CPAP
Look, my AHI was 75! Like you and probably most of us, the first few weeks of therapy were frustrating to say the least. I started with full face masks. I quickly shut the ramp feature off. Relatively early on, I learned to love the p10 minimalist mask. And for several years now, I have been using t...

Re: ResMed f30i full face mask
Question about f30i.... my wife has been getting severe skin irritation in the area between upper lip and nose while using the n30i, the "mustache" area.. This has occurred after successfully using the n30i for over a year without issues. She has applied moleskin patches over the area but adhesive o...

Re: Going to the Potty at Nighttime
Another very common cause of nocturia is excess fluid retention. Many people get dependent edema as they age fir a variety of reasons having nothing to do with the heart's function. When people lie down in bed, the legs are no longer dependent. The fluid migrates back into the circulatory system, re...

Re: CPAP and coughing up blood
Gastro MD here... are you coughing up blood (a tracheo-pulmonary source) or "hawking" up blood as in clearing your throat (indicating a source in the hypopharnx) or refluxing blood ( suggesting an esophageal source)?

Re: What Would Be the Ideal n30i Replacement?
Does anyone know whether ResMed is aware that many people have an issue with the new version, and do they even care? For us, it isn't just the venting.... it clearly is constructed either out of different material or to different specs than the original, which somehow leads to a greater chance of le...

What Would Be the Ideal n30i Replacement?
Both my wife and I have been using the n30i nasal masks for years with great success, the original version of the nasal cushions. We've tried the newer version cushions, and it was night and day in the bad way. Both of us had miserable experiences with the newer version, constantly having to "adjust...

Re: The ‘End’ of COVID Is Still Far Worse Than We Imagined
Physician here and actively involved in the "science" of Covid-19... I wish politics had no role in this viral illness. I happen to be a relatively conservative Republican voter, but I have actually had more Moderna shots than any CDC authorization would have allowed me to do including the recently ...

Re: CPAP Friendly Hotels
It is quite rare to have an issue in a hotel room. Cruise ship cabins are an entirely different story! Often, even a newly renovated suite bedroom will lack bedside electricity.

Quick Airsense 10 Autoset Question
I actually have three separate ResMed 10 Autoset machines... the one originally obtained from my DME and two purchased for various reasons from our LSAT. The two that were used regularly in my winter home in Florida and summer abode in MA both gave the information on shutdown of hours used and event...
