Re: Sticky: Phillips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

I have been using my new Resmed Airsense 10 autoset machine for a week now. The reporting from the CPAP is showing my AHI is much better than with the Dreamstation. I wish I had chosen the Resmed when I did my replacement in December 2019. Unfortunately, my sleep isn't any better with an AHI of 1.1....

Re: Sticky: Phillips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

So, great, taxpayers could potentially be on the hook to pay a few hundred million dollars to prematurely replace recalled CPAP machines. My insurance company bought me a Dreamstation 18 months ago. I bought my own Resmed Airsense 10 autoset with cash. I didn't even try to see if they would cover an...

Re: Does any online supplier actually have a Resmed Airsense 10 autoset in stock?

I personally have zero interest in buying a used medical device. I have had huge issues with several used purchases this year and have decided to stick with new stuff from now on unless it is something really simple. I got my shiny new Resmed machine dropped off by the owner of the DME today. My nex...

Re: Sticky: Phillips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

Philips is a worldwide company that is headquartered in the Netherlands. Do you really expect them to manufacture all of their stuff in the United States? I highly doubt that Philips didn't know exactly what type of foam was going into their products. I find it hard to believe that Philips would hav...

Re: Does any online supplier actually have a Resmed Airsense 10 autoset in stock?

The local DME I ordered my Resmed machine from just called me. The owner is going to personally drop off my machine this afternoon as he lives pretty close. I was thinking I would just cancel the order since I couldn't reach anyone. I checked their online reviews before ordering and no bad reviews I...

Does any online supplier actually have a Resmed Airsense 10 autoset in stock?

I first ordered a Resmed machine from Lofta. They sent me a second email asking for my prescription, but I had already uploaded it. I called them and they told me they had my prescription, but they were out of stock and it would be three weeks before I would have it so I cancelled. I ordered from a ...

Re: Sticky: Phillips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

Yes I do expect that, especially since its under warrantee. Secondly because my life depends on it. You must still believe in Santa Claus if you believe Philips is going to replace everyone's machine with another manufacturer. It would still take a upwards of a year for another manufacturer to make...

Re: Sticky: Phillips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

I registered my dreamstation ASV today online and my DME said they will be he ones that handle Philips. I told them I dont want anything Philips after all this which they understood. Its astonishing how it feels to become reliant upon something and how it feels to be told to immediately stop using ...

Re: Resmed for Her for a male?

I went ahead and cancelled my "for Her" order. I placed a new order with the local DME instead for the Resmed Airsense 10 autoset.

Re: Resmed for Her for a male?

My doctor has my current auto machine set to start at 14 so it sounds like there is no reason to get the “for Her” model.

Resmed for Her for a male?

I have read here previously that the Resmed Airsense 10 autoset for Her may also benefit males due to the extra algorithms. Is there really a good benefit buying the "for Her" model for a male? I ordered a Resmed Airsense 10 autoset for Her from Lofta. What they don't tell you is they can't ship for...

Re: Sticky: Phillips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

The local DME has the Resmed bi-level machine for $1,299. They had the Resmed Airsense 10 auto for Her for $599, but sold out. They still have the Resmed Airsense 10 auto for $675. I thought it was $599 the other day, but not sure. I kinda want the for Her because if the extra software algorithms. ...

Re: Sticky: Phillips Respironics recent recall notice discussion thread

Respshop.com has a note on their website that the FDA has not approved the recall process as of June 25th. This probably explains why Philips hasn't said how the recall will be done as the FDA has not approved the recall. I am probably going to get a Resmed unit as a local DME still has them in stoc...

Philips is in no danger of going under due to this. Annual revenue is over $20 billion.
