Re: Finally got prescription. A few newbie questions
Don't forget - the prescription and your medical records are your property. You are entitled to a copy of the Rx and any study results etc. This gives you a bit of market power if your DME turns out to be "less than ideal". Get copies of this stuff now so you don't have to jump through hoops later on.

Re: Sleepyhead says humidifier disconnected?
Mine's been showing up as disconnected with both PRS1 460 and 560 machines. It's hit or miss, mostly miss. I ran through an entire preheated tank of water last night so it does seem to be working despite SH saying not connected.

Re: Medicare Payment of Oral Appliance & CPAP
Cpap has no negative effect on my glaucoma. If anything, my eye pressure is better with cpap. Some masks allow air leakage to flow by my eyes, making them even drier than the side effects of my glaucoma eye drops. (I would have to move to Colorado to quit the drops.). Just curious if you've seen th...

Re: emergency use of APAP machine
I just switched from a CPAP to APAP machine and have found I am averaging 2-3 points lower pressure than when I was on 14 cm CPAP. This has helped to almost eliminate any leaks I was having and I think is working better overall. It's taking a little time to adjust to the lower pressure but AHI/RDI n...

Re: Backpacking, Hiking and Camping - the PowerAdd Pilot Pro
Sorry to hear you got a non-functioning PowerAdd. I sent mine back and I'm not going to bother replacing. I got an email from the seller asking me if I wanted a replacement but I'm not going to waste my time on it. It's unfortunate that the old battery is not usable, perhaps someone can shed some li...

Re: recovery of mental abilities
... but I still am not picking up the different technology as quickly as I (or my boss) would like and that's always been easy for me before. Told him about the diagnosis, but he clearly doesn't want to hear about it. In fact he's rarely around and evidently still thinks I fall asleep (I don't), an...

Re: Cpap for sale
For those people who aren't aware of what the 460 machine does....it is more than a fixed cpap pressure machine. There is limited apap trial capabilities with it. 30 days apap with the ability to be reset up to 5 times I think it is. correct me if I'm wrong, but that limited apap ability is more of...
