Re: Smoker? Don't smoke around your CPAP!
You were the victim of child abuse! Everyone smoked in the 1960's. it was practically a requirement. growing up, we men folk had heroes in the movies and tv who smoked and drank heavily. thank god i got over that! In the early 70s, a doctor recommended that my mother start smoking to calm her nerve...

Re: AirSense 11 AutoSet arrived, a few questions
I have run completely out of water in the humidifier twice in the last month and it is extremely close to empty most nights. The nights it ran dry, I used the machine for just over 7 hours. Waking up to a dry humidifier gave me a miserable headache. That said, the temperatures went down to -44 celsi...

Re: oscar download apneaboard and ads
Instead of linking to the Sleepfiles/OSCAR landing page, direct link to the actual install files. ie. Clicking on the link, will directly download the file, won't redirect the browser to the landing page where they can stumble across ads. Win64: https://www.apneaboard.com/OSCAR/OSCAR-1.5.1-Win64.ex...

Re: Help needed. Leg Movements
CPAP did the job of breaking the OA's, but can't do more, as Pugsy said. We must now try to solve the problem of leg movement. Which is another difficult story. The leg movements really ruin our sleep, but your doctor should be able to prescribe some medication to help this improve. I have gone thr...

Re: Apneaboard vs cpaptalk
I looked over there too. If I am accessing the apneaboard on my cell phone, it puts an ad in my way that asks me to click start and create an account. It is to a movie music and game app. The only way to get it to go away is to back out and re-enter. If I try to access from my computer, it doesn't p...

Re: Smart watches and sleep apnea ?
if I wave my arm around frantically. I know you say you aren't a robot. But, by any chance, do you happen to shout anything like "Warning, danger, Will Robinson!" when you do that? https://youtu.be/zePYlaVVo_M Asking for a friend. My cat's name is Will and the family just purchased an "exciting new...

Re: Smart watches and sleep apnea ?
My sleep specialist told me not to believe ANY of the sleep data on the smart watch.
It is good for counting steps....most of the time. It can be fooled if I wave my arm around frantically.
It does tell the correct time.

If you can't find a manual, use youtube or google. I can't ever find my manuals. Sheriff Thank you Sheriff! I did manage to get my hands on a virtual manual. My masks arrive on Tuesday, so I am ready for plan A. I can't wait to be in charge of my own auto. I am completely trashed with the DME adjus...

Thank you Pugsy,
You have not aged a bit since about 2011 when I was last here lol! Some members that were really helpful are still around and some seem to have sadly disappeared.

Not so Newbie
I used a CPAP approximately 12 years ago and eventually stopped using it at my sleep specialist’s recommendation. I worked really hard to get the right mask, get the leaks stopped etc., and got help from people in the forum. Back then I did not have active symptoms of sleep apnea that would show up ...

Re: OT: The doggie version of PAP/oral-device?
I was interested in lurking around and learning about choosing a mask, but the conversation morphed into something Canadians don't understand.
If it solved my leaks, I am not adverse to resorting to dog toys. lol
