I refuse to do them when data is available for verification.
Some additional info might also prove helpful-- neck size, height/weight, rest of sleep study info (especially sleep stage and position dependency), and if you want to get fancy, get a cheap pulse oximeter and software (EVERYBODY has one)(course, if everybody jumped off a cliff...).

Yeah...I was waiting before playing 20 questions until I saw the SleepHQ report.

I take it at breakfast, so I would not think it would be an issue at night.

My own husband will be 75 next month and he also has the "pee alot" thing because of enlarged prostate.
Comes with the territory but there are meds which might help. My own husband is too bullheaded to ask about the meds but they might be worth considering.
While nocturia is also a known symptom of sleep apnea....it's not the only known cause.

Get us that SleepHQ report please for us to scroll through. I have asked a sleep tech to review your thread and he will want to see that flow rate up close. Without seeing those breaths up close all we can do is guess about what is going on with your flagged events (and/or sleep quality) and I don't like WAGs...wild ass guesses. I refuse to do them when data is available for verification.

Well....you don't have complex sleep apnea as except for a one maybe central apnea....all your flagged events are SWJ (sleep/wake/junk) meaning you weren't asleep when they were flagged.
LOTS and LOTS of evidence of arousal/awake breathing going on.

I have my doubts as to whether or not you need that much pressure as well....strongly leaning towards the "not" side of things.

Did you have much (if any) nasal congestion last night?

How are you feeling today?

Any events flagged while not asleep don't count for much except to note that your sleep quality is in the toilet.
Those little clusters of flagged events are a symptom of the poor sleep quality and not the cause of the poor sleep.

Much more detective work is going to be needed.

Do you happen to have a copy of your diagnostic sleep study? Was it done at home or in a sleep lab?

I had the home study and the study at the doctor.s sleep lab. I will look those results up and answer the other questions later.
I have a question for you. I am very new here and do not know anything about those answering my questions. Please do not take this the wrong way, but could you tell me your credentials for the information you provide?

Here's a clue... go back to the top of the board, the firsts screen... see all the newbie and etc sticky posts written by or about Pugsy? She's the mother canine around here... we bow to her ultimate wisdom (mostly). She's not a doctor, but she knows of what she speaks... she's helped hundreds of us, folks like you.

Your machine pressures are set up weird. We need to see those original sleep study results to go any further. The events are awake... just apnea, not sleep apnea. See the times when you're snoring? See the times when the FL graph comes up? You're asleep then... and not having events, at least events flagged by your machine. Monitoring O2 would be the next step is my considered opinion.

I feel sort of stupid. vandownbytheriver, I checked out the info you gave me in the previous post and want to bookmark some of it, but cannot figure out how. Could you help?

Last nights results. Did not wear all night due to congestion issues, which mask tends to make worse at times. Maybe I need to try sleeping in a chair with the mask, because when I sit up the congestion is somewhat lessened.
I will post my home and sleep lab reports later.

Sorry, I was specifically referring to 11:20-11:30pm (big snore and FL's) and 04:05 to 04:30am (snore and FL). No events are flagged.

No, I meant that maybe you could tell me how to bookmark posts so I can refer to them later.

Had some nasal congestion (right now, practically every night). Usually feel well rested and do not seem to get tired during the day.
What file format does the sleep study need to be in to upload? I tried PDF and the site said no.

I did as you suggested. Quite impressive, she has more experience and knowledge than most doctors and has helped more people find helpful information than many providers and doctors. I am sorry I posted that question, I should have done some research first. I handled it poorly!
