Re: Tech Nerds-think this battery setup will work for Transcend Micro?
I use this as my backup battery for my cpap which is a resmed. The inverter is for the fridge if I loose power for a long time. It runs my resmed for 30 hours with the heated tank and tube on. In my case the resmed PSU is a car 12v power outlet. Depends on what you need output exactly it can be dire...

Re: Taping mask on your face
I tape because of leaks. When my jaw relaxes I get leak around the chin area, especially if I haven't shaved in a week. The tape sticks fairly well over facial hair and doesn't give me a wax job when removing it. When using it for mouth tape - chapstick on the lips and roll them in a bit when you ap...

Re: New ResMed full face mask....the F40
Actually I had good lucky washing the airtouch cushion along with the rest. But I rotated cushions so the washed one had pleanty of time to dry out before use. Washed monthly and I had 3 in rotation. Wiped daily. When washing do NOT squeeze the foam.

Re: Amazon filters
Well, in this case the DME is sending me standard filters and what I order from amazon are the hypoallergenic ones. Or maybe the DME is sending the hypoallergenic ones and the just stock those because it is cheaper to only inventory one type. I know that is a stretch but all the pap that comes with ...

Re: New ResMed full face mask....the F40
Hi,
Can you tell me how the F30 and F40 medium compare with regard to the squeeze on the sides of the nose?
When I wear the F30 med it fits well in all respects except for it squeezing the sides of my nose. I wake in the AM with my nose hurting at the widest spots.

Re: Amazon filters
I am apparently having a run of bad luck with filters from Amazon - the ads show a nice sealed foil bag and when they arrive they are in a plastic bag loose. I think OK, maybe they order bulk and pull 60 out of the box of 1000 and ship them. Then I compare them to the real deal I get from my DME (Ap...

Re: Battery recommendation?
Anytime you plug into ac you just need something to adapt the prongs to that outlet. It is a switching power supply so any ac power world wide will work. This includes any generator they have. If you get the battery adapter it will plug into any cigarette outlet be it in a vehicle or with the alliga...

Pressure support. That means the pressure doesn't dip below it when keeping the airway open.

Re: Continued use of recalled Philips Dreamstation BiPAP AVAPS machine
I was able to slip the pulseox on my mother's finger without her waking up at night. The problem with those is you can get a false reading if the hand is cold, if the circulation is poor or if mom is laying on the arm. If you get an abnormal readings best thing is just to switchfingers or hands

Re: Elderly back sleeping mom, new ASV
For me the ASV is MUCH less trouble than the standard machines or BiPaps. When I am breathing with it there is no sense of having to 'push' against it to exhale. Is basically like breathing with nothing on unless I start to shallow out or miss a breath. Then it pushes and I feel it. So it doesn't su...

Re: Continued use of recalled Philips Dreamstation BiPAP AVAPS machine
Sorry, I was lead astray when the OP asked about it. I jumped to the conclusion that it had wifi. I am the engineer type and question everything and take nothing at face value since a lot of people just repeat what someone else said or made up without verifying that it is true Tisk Tisk, pointing o...

Sorry, I was lead astray when the OP asked about it. I jumped to the conclusion that it had wifi. To the OP, this is the clincal guide to the machine you are ordering - it has every detail about the machine and what it does. That doesn't mean I am suggesting you make any changes once the machine is ...

Re: Continued use of recalled Philips Dreamstation BiPAP AVAPS machine
At a guess I think, using WiFi via the internet might pose a security risk. It would be trivial for them to have the machine set up a crypted VPN tunnel to the resmed server and upload the data that way. It would shock me if that isn't the way the cellular works currently, just a different transpor...
