Help with Oscar
Help with Oscar
Hello,
Would you help me with the interpretation of Oscar?. My AHI is always low, between 1 and 2 but there must be a reason why I wake up suddenly sweating and a bit alarmed.

Re: Help with Oscar
Welcome! Could you repost your chart but include the left panel, which has a lot of useful information? Once you've done that, there will certainly be people who will try to help.

Re: Help with Oscar
Almost! Please turn off the calendar and the pie chart so that more of the other information will appear. Use "View" to turn those two things off. Thanks for your patience with this.

Re: Help with Oscar
Going out on a limb here and thinking you're under-treated... 7cm looks to be too low. See the flow limitations? If your machine was on APAP it would be climbing the pressures then. I'd try going up 1cm at a time and see if those events and FL's improve.

Re: Help with Oscar
Thank you for your guidance on posting the charts. I hope I do it right this time.
I live in the Netherlands and here the machine's pressure is fixed by the doctor. Mine is 7. I've been using the Airsense 10 for the last 4 years without any complains and recovered quite quickly from fatigue and sleepness at the beginning of the therapy.
For the last 3-4 months I'm feeling tired, sleeping less and these events of waking up suddenly in the middle of the night sweating as if I lack air, scare me.
Since before been diagnosed with apnea (40 events per hour) I take some medication for blood pressure. Nothing major has changed in my lifestyle habits either.
I'd appreciate your help to discern if anything relevant can be seen in the charts that may affect my therapy or if I need to go to the doctor searching for another reason to my symptons.

Re: Help with Oscar
I think you need to take it one step further. Load a few nights into SleepHQ, post the links and note what time these events occur.
Also a little history- age, sex, weight, any other interesting stuff.
Night sweats are usually something or nothing.

And if you still have the data a couple SleepHQs from back when you were doing well.

Re: Help with Oscar
Thanks for the answers. About me... Female, 70 years old, BMI 24, retired from work. I attend 2 gym classes every week. I've recently become a granny and I couldn't feel happier for my daughter and her husband and our grandson is healthy and growing up to speed. No major worries, I think.
What is SleepHQ? Is there a difference with the charts I'm posting?

Re: Help with Oscar
SleepHQ allows other members to review your night breath by breath.
https://www.sleephq.com/community/
The overviews you posted (aka "SkyLab View') compress ~5200 breaths together so it's impossible to analyze an event that's only seconds in duration.
YOU can do this in Oscar but it's easier for other members to use SleepHQ (cause you would need to upload Oscar files to a server someplace then they would have to download it).

Re: Help with Oscar
Understood. I'll try
Re: Help with Oscar
I cannot find a way to upload my data to SleepHQ. Therefore if nothing can be seen/noticed on the posted charts by the experienced experts in this forum, I give up. Sorry.
Re: Help with Oscar
Don't give up.

Did you create your free SleepHQ account?
Unless they changed policy, you're supposed to have a moth free - with an option to upload and share your data.
Rubicon is a very experienced member of the forum - he used to have a habit of changing his user name every 1000 posts - so ignore the date he joined and the number of posts.
Do you mean you wake up suddenly sweating and alarmed a number of times during the night? Or do you mean in the morning?
