Resmed S9: Mask Compatibility Inquiry?

Post by WartanThamar » Tue Mar 05, 2024 10:20 pm

In the pursuit of enhanced sleep therapy, I find myself grappling with the intricacies of Resmed S9 compatibility. Bestowed upon me is a full face mask, yet its cumbersome nature impedes my restful slumber. Enthralled by the promise of nasal masks, I am confounded by the labyrinth of alphanumeric designations: P10, P20i, F20, N20. How do I discern the symbiotic harmony between these masks and my machine? Must I embark upon a journey of trial and error, acquiring masks in hopes of serendipitous compatibility?

Resmed lables their masks...P=Pillow Mask.....N= Nasal Mask....F= Full Face Mask. Any mask canbe used with any mashine. (Aside from some Travel Machines).

Cpap.com is an excellent resource for studying masks. There are photos, descriptions, specifications, ratings, and reviews.

If you leak air between your lips, a nasal-only interface will require some special solutions.

Trial and error is the way most of us have done it. Check cpap.com. They might still offer return insurance. Or, if you are using a local DME, they might have a 30-day exchange program.

Always carry bear spray, and plenty of water, and when traveling by sea, wear a life jacket at all times. Put it on before you step on the pier.
