N30 whooshing noise compared to N30i

Post by dorsy28 » Wed Nov 15, 2023 4:49 pm

I started therapy in July, and ultimately decided on the N30i. I really like it, but sometimes the frame feels a little constrictive. I also have the N30, which I'd love to use occasionally, but it is so LOUD. I can hear every inhalation and exhalation. I've checked the attachment, and it looks like it is on correctly (with the little notch on one side). Although very comfortable, I only last about 30 minutes before the noise drives me nuts. My Airsense mask fit says it has no leaks. Is this normal for this mask?

This N30??

https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... h-headgear

It has the same venting system as the P10 which is totally silent.
I have used the N30 and it is indeed totally silent. Others who have used it also report it as being essentially silent.

Something is wrong somewhere if you are having that much noise with it.

FWIW I have also briefly tried the N30i....I found it horribly noisy and couldn't even sleep with it.

So if you are having that much noise with the N30 compared to N30i....something is wrong somewhere with the N30.
My best guess is the little cushion isn't seated correctly or completely or has a wrinkle in it or something.

Yes, that's the one. It certainly seems like it is attached well and looks like it is snapped into place. My N30i is silent.

I haven't tried OSCAR yet; I will see if I can get that set up to check for leaks. Thanks!
