Anyone else experiencing connection problems here on the forum

Post by Pugsy » Fri Apr 19, 2024 11:44 am

So.....I am still repeatedly getting the connection failure for the forum saying something about "security lacking confirmation" ....I got a picture of it somewhere but can't find it right now.
And I have to repeatedly keep "retrying" to connect and sometimes it works and sometimes it takes a half a dozen times.

Also...all forum page functions are inordinately slow once I do get connected.
The connection process is horribly slow.
When I post a reply it is also horribly slow to show up and sometimes I get the failed connection message which irritates the hell out of me.

Anyone else experiencing similar or different connection problems?

I sent Carolyn a message the last time it happened and things improved briefly but now I think they are worse.
I never heard back from Carolyn.

Funny I just got the error trying to reply to this ... no screenshots but this is the error text from chrome browser:

Just got this below. Took me 4 tries to get past it. Annoying as hell.

Have been getting the 'Secure Connection Failed' message for the last couple of days. Also when the site does decide to load it takes a bit longer than most other sites.

FWIW Malwarebytes popped a warning message "Website Blocked Due to Riskware" a week or so ago when I tried to load the site and gave me choice to proceed or not. I proceeded to load the site an no message since the first time. Probably not related, but I'll throw it out there as a maybe.

Don't know all there is to know about website security, but could it be an 'expired security certificate' that has hosed up the site? Maybe the reason Malwarebytes flagged the site for me.

There definitely is something amiss with the security from Firefox's site information

I use FireFox.
I probably have seen that "try again" thing 3 dozen times today.....at least.
Friggin annoying.

I was wondering if it was just me or what. Guess it isn't just me but maybe not as widespread as I thought it might be.

Using Chrome with Win10... 'Site Cannot Be Reached'... the server's chugging hard. Time for a fund-raiser? Have a heart-to-heart with Supplier #1? Upgrade from wood-fired to coal?

I frequently get a "Site can't be reached message" but this disappears after a second or so, and the site then connects. It seems to be running very slow.
* Download Oscar
* Oscar help
* An alternative to Oscar - try SleepHQ

I have no medical training or qualifications. Take my advice for what it's worth.

My computer goes to the can't connect screen then to the site .. Sometimes stops at the
can't connect screen and I need to click refresh to get here .. Maybe this will help
trouble shoot the problem ..

I've recently had some failed efforts to connect and a lot of slow-down. I use Firefox.

Yesterday was awful. After one post, which took multiple tries, I gave up. Today is slow but better.

Yeah.....it's been horrible ever since I first made this topic.

If you guys/gals are experiencing this and haven't mentioned it here....please mention it because I plan to send the link to this thread to Carolyn......and again mention the problem I am having and also be able to say "I am not the only one".
