Re: standard or soft response
I would go back to when you weren't screwing around with the settings. Back to what seemed to be working well for you and you were feeling good. I do NOT believe your centrals are EPR related (the bulk or over 80% of them are arousal/awake breathing related) but you can certainly try discontinuing i...

Re: standard or soft response
I don't have time to look at all those SleepHQ reports but I did scroll through the May 4 report. Probably at least 85% of the flagged events you weren't asleep when they got flagged. You may not remember the arousal but it happened and your breathing reflects it. Lots of arousal/awake breathing sho...

Re: Centrals?
The middle of the night snippet.....that's a weird grouping but if you look at what happened before the first flagged central you can obviously see the big gulp of air prior to the first flag and we know that we don't take big gulps of air like that when we are asleep so the first one flagged is fai...

Re: Centrals?
Looks like you weren't asleep to my eye.
Maybe just pausing your breathing while awake????? We do it all the time and not realize we are doing it.
If that were my report I would ignore them and chalk it up to SWJ Sleep/Wake/Junk false positives.

Re: standard or soft response
So, if the machine thinks it's a central, does it ignore the event? These machines can't treat or deal with central apneas unless you have one of the special machines like the ASV. Your machine can't do anything with central apneas so it won't even try. More pressure won't/can't force you to breath...

Re: New F & P Nasal cushion mask called the Solo
No swivel at the mask end but to be honest I didn't miss it or even notice there wasn't a swivel until you asked. The short hose on the mask is extremely flexible though. Got some weird results using the Solo last night. Unsure what to make of it right now. Will share later once I can maybe get some...

You need to be asking that question of your insurance carrier.

Wonder if you are experiencing hypnic jerks causing you to wake up. I have those sometimes. Highly annoying.

Re: 3-Year CPAP User Looking for Advice
Hope you'll be OK, Pugsy. Tell us when you can We got lucky. Didn't get a head on hit by the storms that formed. We were just north of the worst of it. Lots of lightening and thunder and rain and a little wind but as storms go....not bad where I live. Some places got lots of golf ball size hail and...

Re: 3-Year CPAP User Looking for Advice
Gotta be quick. One storm moving south of us but another big one is moving in so it looks like we will be right in the middle of the ugly. Yes....increase your max and lets see where it wants to go and see if the snores reduce. Lots of snores on that May 4 report. The snores themselves could potenti...

Re: 3-Year CPAP User Looking for Advice
Unfortunately the lack of detailed data because the SD card wasn't in the machine really complicates trying to evaluate what you are describing when you have something going on during sleep onset but we have no real details available to evaluate. I was looking for any flagging done while awake that ...

Re: standard or soft response
The red line is just a visual reference for the breath. Above the red line should be inspiration and below the red line should be expiration.

Re: 3-Year CPAP User Looking for Advice
Please share last night's report. Need to see what might be going on during that "sleep onset" period of time.
Your May 4 report....looks like you need to allow the machine to go higher. Lots of snores and maxing out the pressure.

Re: standard or soft response
How big was that large leak right before this last little snippet you did? It's throwing me off (your last snippets) because the scale of the breaths doesn't look like the scale that I get when I do the same thing you did. Plus some of your graph the breath seems to not reach the red line of 0.0 and...
