UARS? Please take a look at these Sleepyhead screenshots

Post by royal55 » Fri May 10, 2024 6:15 pm

Hello, I'm actually diagnosed with sleep apnea, but I guess I have UARS.
because my AHI is always below 5. even without a BIPAP device.

I currently sleep with a BIPAP pressure of 17/12 mbar, and unfortunately I still don't sleep very well.
I'm still tired during the day...

does the airflow in Sleepyhead look like RERAs? So like UARS?
should I try increasing the pressure?

here the sleepyhead screenshots: https://postimg.cc/gallery/rwgMG3t

Really, Thank You Very Much!

You've got some big leaks going on... this results in lower pressures in your airway... the machine tries to compensate, but fixing the leaking will help.

It looks like you need more pressure to get rid of those distorted wave tops... you're at (effectively) 12cm PS5... I'd suggest trying more... if you start seeing CA's reduce PS (relative ePap). So try 13/18, 14/19, 15/19, 16/20 etc. Also you could use an O2 monitor to really see what's going on... I'm using O2Ring, it records O2, pulse, and Movement... these can be loaded into Oscar (the new Sleepyhead) and you can correlate O2 desaturations with events. It's not a cheap thing, 170USD... but very much worth the results you get.

Also, for sharing a night's data in hi-res SleepHQ is good... and free. It's a website where you can upload the SD card from your machine just like Sleepyhead but it's in the cloud. Here's a recent night of mine... as you can see I'm running 21/17cm. I pay extra so I can include my O2Ring data... try click-and-drag to zoom in, R zooms back out:

https://sleephq.com/public/b30baddf-a6b ... df25635414

It has the added advantage of automatically translating the headings I believe.

Thank you!
I will now increase the pressure every day as a test as you suggested.
I'll let you know if my sleep quality has improved.

Do you also have UARS?

Move the Pressure waveform under the Flow waveform and repost your examples.
Freeze this moment a little bit longer.
Make each sensation a little bit stronger.
Experience slips away.

No... my AHI is 104. Look for the AXG Jason video I posted, he talks about his success and failures treating UARS. Rubicon has more experience here, follow his suggestions (or post a SleepHQ link) to get expert advice.
