Re: BiPap straining sound/noise

I would suggest, when you hear the sound, try to locate exactly where its coming from. From the machine or from the mask. Report back once you've made this determination.

Re: CPAP Class Action Lawsuit Settlement

Conrad... You have a DreamStation 1 (original) Bipap. The DreamStation 2 is pictured in the link below... https://www.usa.philips.com/healthcare/product/HCEUX520H15C/dreamstation-2-auto-cpap-advanced-auto-cpap I stand corrected. It may look like the original, but I guess it's been changed internall...

Re: CPAP Class Action Lawsuit Settlement

Hey Conrad...... "I was given, what appeared to be, a brand new Dreamstation 2 bipap . New box, new smell, still had the stickers and protective film on it. After plugging it in and checking the hours, all zero. I still have this machine as a backup since I bought a ResMed AirCurve 10 bipap out of ...

Re: CPAP Class Action Lawsuit Settlement

Ok so in that case there is some process whereby you return the crappy refurbs which makes you eligible for this pool to pay you for your out of pocket. Receipts will be required I'm sure. And if you send back the recalled machines too if not already done so, you get that incentive payment also whi...

Re: Airsense 11 offgassing

Why would you be familiar with the smell of model car glue? (Huffing is a very bad idea.) New plastic, like in the hose and mask may have a very slight plastic-y scent. Air it out by running it near an open window. (People steal off my porch.) Most of us are unaffected by the "new cpap" smell. Sorr...

Re: CPAP Class Action Lawsuit Settlement

Poetry month starts on Monday. Which reminds me of one of my favorite Haikus: Haikus are easy But sometimes they don't make sense Refrigerator But I digress ... There needs to be the distinction here between the replacement devices and these fixed payments to incentivize folks to return their machi...

Re: CPAP Class Action Lawsuit Settlement

No haiku attempt here. Coincidence only. It must be a cultural thing. Too Irish to feel poetry when nothing rhymes. Glad that we got the Haiku thing settled, what about this? How does returning a defective CPAP to the manufacturer during a recall, in exchange for cash trap anyone into using an infe...

Re: Amazon filters

I received the hypoallergenic filters that I ordered from Amazon yesterday. As stated by the complaints on Amazon, the filters come in a ziplock bag with a printed sticker on it. That's it. No brand name, no indication that these are hypoallergenic filters. In comparison to the hypoallergenic filter...

Re: CPAP Class Action Lawsuit Settlement

IMO, the intent of philips' exchange process was to trap patients into years longer of dealing with their inferior machines. The decent thing would have been to recall their damn junk, and giving out cash refunds! The whole stinking nightmare is appalling! You're not posting Haikus, you know? You s...

Re: Amazon filters

These appear to be ResMed filters.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072N ... BBWZ&psc=1

At a great price! $0.09 for two. But, the shipping for two? $4.99. Yeah, not so good now.

Re: CPAP Class Action Lawsuit Settlement

Whether or not there has been success depends on your definition of success. Any outcome extending ones dependence on a mediocre company is not my idea of success. WTH are you going on about this time?   Ok, in what way EXACTLY did I indicate any dependance on this 'mediocre company'? My defi...

Re: CPAP Class Action Lawsuit Settlement

Faith, hope, and trust. Misdirected? Others have either been fulfilled; or have given up in disgust. Never having used philips: PRICELESS! I agree! Folks here have received a settlement, WTH? And no one talks about it? It would be a BIG help to those of us still attempting to get compensation to he...

It seems that I'm that I'm the only one posting in this thread lately, I can't be the only person here attempting to get reimbursement for this mess, am I?

Re: Amazon filters

I am apparently having a run of bad luck with filters from Amazon - the ads show a nice sealed foil bag and when they arrive they are in a plastic bag loose. I think OK, maybe they order bulk and pull 60 out of the box of 1000 and ship them. Then I compare them to the real deal I get from my DME (A...
