is the myair app accurate
Hello - first time here. I was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea in 2015. It took me about 5 years to get used to using a CPAP. Aside from a few minor aggravations from time to time, it feels normal to sleep with a CPAP. My question is the MyAir app. It will often report that my mask seal needs adjusting but on my AirSense 10 machine, I always get a smiley face for mask seal. The other numbers, hours used and number of events are always in sync with one another (between the machine and the MyAir app) but not the mask seal. A little frustrating. Can anyone explain this discrepancy to me? I have googled it but have received no conclusive information about this issue. TIA

I would trust what you see on the machine itself.
That data is closer to the source--and MyAir is slightly suspect, IMHO.

The machine will give you a red frowny face if your leaks exceed 24 L/min for 70% of the time or more. Below that you'll get a green smiley. However, this is a ludicrously low bar to set. In this case (only) the data from MyAir is more "correct" than relying on the smiley face on the machine.

There are 2 different calculations...The MyAir considers all leaks while the machine only considers large leaks. Both are accurate.

It's 30% or more of the time above 24L/min.Respirator99 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 8:25 pmThe machine will give you a red frowny face if your leaks exceed 24 L/min for 70% of the time or more.
