Re: Mostly central apneas! What happened to me?
I notice that your charts in the earlier thread showed you were sleeping almost six hours per night. Do you feel you’re sleeping less now? Has something changed to prevent you from sleeping longer? Can you clarify your settings? According to these recent SH reports, Ramp is off, but on the pressure ...

Re: cms 50f explanation
You should talk with your doctor about your concerns with your daytime levels, but 96 - 97% is within the range regarded as normal.

Re: cms 50f explanation
It sounds like you’re getting good medical care, and it’s good news that your doctor doesn’t think you have emphysema or COPD. As others have explained, the results you posted show that your oxygen levels drop at various times during the night. But those results don’t answer the question of what cau...

Well first of all, way to go! I’m fairly new to the forum, but I already know how many people you’ve helped, and it’s great you’re feeling good. What went around came around, for once. And could I just say that, um, YES that sounds like exercise to me? Finally, any special time of day you consume gi...

Could you post what kind of machine you have? And is 5 your max? Min? Both? Additional information might help the community give you some additional suggestions.

Re: Full Face Mask + Mouth Taping
Even with pillows, a power outage might be a concern. I got an inexpensive Reliance Control Corporation Power Fail Light with Alarm to be on the safe side. It’s small, and you just plug it into any outlet on the same circuit as your machine, ideally in the same room. The alarm seems to be loud enoug...
we'll just stand on our heads to look at it!
But then all the popcorn will fall out.... Another little project was modifying the strap on my Dr. Dakota collar, which was hard to fasten tight enough. I opened the seam of the Velcro strap cover, then used a few stitches to tack...

P 10.JPG For my P 10, I modified Dreamware strap covers from a cannoli shape to a taco shape. I picked out the stitches to remove one Velcro fastener from each cover, then sewed on one set of snaps. The folded edge is the one closer to my jaw; the open side is closer to my eyes. This makes the cove...

Well rats, the photo didn’t appear. I tried doing this on my iPad, which is what I used to take the picture; any advice?

Re: Switch from FFM to nasal pillows? How did you do it?
I tried vertical taping, cutting a Somnifix strip in half. But I had too many wake-ups from air blowing out the sides of my mouth and switched to horizontal. Everyone is different, though, so it’d probably make sense to try vertical a few nights and see how it goes. Funny about my disappearing post—...

I don’t breathe through the mesh slot if I take care to purse my lips fully before I put the strip on. The few times I didn’t purse enough I wound up breathing through the slot, getting it all wet, loosening the adhesive underneath it—ugh! So I purse carefully! Miss E.

Re: arousals
I use the Dr. D and like it too. I wear it a little loose so it doesn’t jam my upper and lower teeth together. It basically provide a little shelf for my chin so my mouth can’t sag open. I had trouble fastening it in back and made a modification that worked. I opened the seam on the protective fabri...
