Re: Concerned/Worried - New Air Sense 11 AHI High
So stay off your back and/or let the pressure go higher... keep those leaks down. Looks like it wants you around 8cm base level... IMO. Does this look like a leak rate issue or positional to you? I went to sleep on my back and woke up on right side. I think you may right about pressure needing to b...

Re: Starting soon.... One more question.
Sounds very time consuming. How long would you say it takes every night or day? The monthly things are not much... 5min to rinse and sling the hose, 5min to wash the cushion. Averaged over a day that's 20sec/day. To rinse and fill the tub takes 2min. I do that every night. Not sure what your concer...

Re: side sleeping
Has anyone had success decreasing their apnic events by learning to sleep on their sides instead of their backs? Sleeping on my sides has been the way I've done it for decades... it is not good for my shoulders but definitely helps the apnea and (on my left) the reflux. CPAP has cured the reflux bu...

Re: Starting soon.... One more question.
I only rinse the hose with very hot water right before use. I do this about once a month. It will dry with use if you sling the water out from both ends. I replace the hose every 6mos. I do not leave the hose wet. I rinse the tub thoroughly before each night's use. I use tap water for both rinse and...

Re: Concerned/Worried - New Air Sense 11 AHI High
Looks positional... see where your pressure pegged at 10cm? I believe that was when you were flat on your back... lots of Flow Limitations and Snore... wanted even more pressure but limited to 10cm. The leaks are there but not horrible... the machine was not struggling but was held back by that 10cm...

Re: Concerned/Worried - New Air Sense 11 AHI High
The motor was making a lot of noise and the pressure wasn't accurate. The motor is easily replaced and is 130USD on Amazon or Alibaba. Not a great night sleep in terms of hours, but I noticed a difference in that I felt more awake in the morning. I tried to upload my OSCAR report for last night, bu...

Re: Best travel CPAP with humidifier
I think you'll find most experienced travelers would rather have their main with them... I have not needed CPAP on a plane, sitting upright prevents most of my OSA, and gone are the days when you could fold up the seat arms in the middle row of an L-1011 and sleep. That said, if you do decide to get...

Re: Concerned/Worried - New Air Sense 11 AHI High
Curious as to what went wrong with your 10. The 11 series has a hose leak problem... you should be aware of this, with big leaks you're not getting the therapy you need. Check for this and make sure you're not getting this leak... the work-around is to face the machine away from you so the hose come...

Re: Removal of Inspire Device
Wondering if anyone has found a doctor that can successfully remove the Inspire device . The leads placed inside my neck have triggered TN and nothing can be done to correct TN unless Inspire can be removed. TN is a debilitating condition that has ruined my wellbeing. Very sorry to hear this. I fou...

Re: Very unhappy morning
When I put the mask on I had to breath very fast for 20 minutes to get enough air, my heart was palpitating. This is Not How CPAP Works. The harder and faster you breathe the less oxygen and more CO2 you breathe. Either breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth (for nasal/pillows mask...

... why do you think they'd put those smaller motors in if their project engineers had any idea they wouldn't be as good if not better. Maybe they replaced the metal parts with titanium versus aluminum? Do we know the answers to that? alancalan, you're now fantasizing about titanium. I've already s...

Re: Gasping when nodding off
I have attached all of the data and graphs from my daily view on OSCAR. Thank you. It is not uncommon to pop a CA on drifting off... what you describe is much worse, like torture. As Lazarus noted, you may have Ramp enabled, where you attempt to go to sleep not under therapy. Once I acclimated I wa...

Re: Highest total hours?
An older thread, but thought I would post anyway. My Resmed S7 has 49,863 hours on it. I've had it since sometime in the early 2000's. About 10 or 12 years ago, I put a relatively new fan in it that I bought on eBay. It's starting to get a bit noisy, though. Might be time for a new machine, but my ...
