AHI = 102 ... treated ===> 0.4
AI = 99 ... treated ===> 0.1
min O2 desat = 60% ... treated ===> ?

AHI> 150, based on 3 hours @ 450, can't verify didn't get a copy, was too sick to care, just ready to get treatment. O2 was under 90, while awake.

Now with treatment AHI < 0.7, monthly AVG. Jim

These numbers are from initial sleep study done on 11/21/06

AHI Untreated = 104.5
O2 Untreated = 91.7 (thought it was lower until i pulled out the sleep study report) but dipped as low as 42.0 during the study

AHI Treated Avg. since February 1, 2007 = 3.9
O2 = Unknown

My AHI was 168 in the study.

I have only been on the CPAP one week, my AHI on the machine shows at 12.1 right now (is this still high?)

During the study, they found it took a pretty high pressure to get me to stop having episodes, so my machine is set at 17.0

On a side note, this is my first post, but I have been lurking here unregistered since my sleep study. Thanks to these forums I was prepared to deal with the DME (Apria!, and i didnt even know what a DME was before these forums) and get myself exactly what I wanted.

I am looking forward to getting my card reader and software so I can work on getting my AHI lower.

Thanks for these forums.

Wolfmarsh,
Welcome to this forum. You prove what we say all along. Reading will gain you the knowledge to understand something you probably never heard of before. And taking charge of your therapy by having that knowledge is key to your good health.

12.1 is high but with being on the machine a week you have improved greatly! An AHI of under 5 is considered good but we try to get it as low as possible. Sometimes it takes a while but I'd say you are off to a good start.

Keep up the good work, and happy reading!
