- Topic: Any one using the Mirage Liberty Hybrid style mask?

I tried the Liberty at the DME a few days ago, and what I did not like was the pressure on the upper teeth. It seems like the only way to have both a good seal on the nose pillows and on the mouth piece was to pull tight and I was afraid my teeth might slowly move inward! If I remember correctly, yo...

XIAN IS MALE! Yep, and I do prefer unisexual (or pansexual) to asexual...(see the many, many, postings on the topic of CPAP and regained libido... BTW, I wanted to answer the most recent posting on the topic with an impression of Meg Ryan eating pie, but got sidetracked... I wonder why!) As for des...

Not sure advertising on this site is smart, or at best ethical, but I have to say that life coaching, done well, is a lot more than having a friend listen to you, or give advice... There again, I also believe in professional therapy (which can't even compare with having a friend listen to you...) Ju...

A different take on this: I am experiencing sleep apnea when I am awake, but only when I meditate (stress reduction strategy... it works!). I think a lot of people would consider stitching, knitting, computer games etc to be "meditative"... gets your brain to function in a different mode, very much ...

Ooops, sorry... should have done the topic search before sending that post... A couple of posting trails showed up (2005 and early this year), with two reviews, one positive, one negative. That figures! Still, if anyone has tried it, let me know... Especially if you have a bed partner who wakes up b...

SleepTracker "alarm clock". For real???
maybe you just need one of these: http://tinyurl.com/2rdyp6 Quote from Snoredog from a previous posting trail... Wasn't sure he was serious or sarcastic about recommending the Sleeptracker watch/alarm clock. My sleep doctor told me yesterday that people awaken during deep sleep do not wake up reste...

Babette, Xian, I can't stand it. I must know. Are you male or female? I've been chatting with you for weeks and I don't know! I think we should try to make this interesting... What shall we bet??? How about, if you guess my gender correctly, I'll have to send you a "relevant" picture of me (PM only,...

Hummm... a sleep tracker??? OK Snoredog, was it sarcasm or have you actually tried it??? My sleep doctor actually mentioned that if you wake up someone during deep sleep, they feel groggy and tired, or, as he coined it, "hungover"... just the way I feel (without the fun party to make it worthwhile, ...

Wow, I am learning so much about fabric dyeing! As a physical chemist and a designer (yep, probably multiple personality syndrome!), I totally enjoyed the discussion. Thanks! (And I can't help but to think that "mordant" is from the French "biting".. takes me back home...) Anyhow, for an update, was...

My sleep doc / neurologist also said that he often recommends that people take Provigil at night before going to bed. I think it was for people with more severe "hypersomnia" syndromes, and to prevent them from oversleeping... On a different topic, and trying to get a feel for the quality of my slee...

Thanks Sarah, Yep, the term he coined was hypersomnia but, clearly, I do not have it as bad as you have it (I can function during the day and if I am tired, I typically do not take naps, or fall asleep at the desk). So, to your point, I am not sure it is "hypersomnia" as much as a term the doc threw...

Too much sleep??? Provigil???
Hello everyone, I had my three month follow up visit at the sleep doctor. As mentioned before, my issue is that my numbers look good (AHI around 1), except for some leaks (average for my mask in the high 30’s when the Optilife should be in the high 20’s), but I still wake up tired (snooze for 1 to 1...

I had headaches at first too. I think they were tension headaches... I was so uncomfortable with the mask, and afraid that it would fall off at night that I was very tense in bed, hence the headaches. I've learned since to relax and tension headaches have gone... Give it a few more nights, and try t...

Hi Linda, How would someone know if he/she still mouth leaks even with the mouth taped (the polydent strip was still in place the next morning...). I was actually thinking of video taping myself during sleep with a night vision camera! (Short of asking someone to watch me, which would be a bit freak...
