Hey Magpie, I echo the others -- hang in there. It's a process. I'm a newbie also -- only been on the hose for about 6 weeks. I've had up nights and down nights, but overall I do feel better. I didn't get here overnight (I'm 57) so I don't expect to fix it overnight. My only expectation is to eventu...

Thanks ya'll...... You've just confirmed what I thought to begin with -- Microcrap.....Oh well, I've been dealing with it since I signed up to beta test Windows 95, so..... No way I'm even going to go close to Vista....They're going to have to do better than that!!!! XP is 'decent' compared to it's ...

Card Reader issues
I'm having a strange problem with the card reader for the respronics software. It's a Mako DT3500 and it works great, BUT, I have to uninstall the driver and reinstall each time I plug it in. The Hardware manager sees it, thinks it's working okfine, but it is not recognized by the software and when ...

Snoregirl is correct - APAP and A-Flex are not the same. APAP is similar to CPAP with the exception that it will Automatically detect the pressure needed within a pre-set range. It sounds like yours should be a range of about 7-18 or so....The APAP machine will "auto-titrate" you and determine what ...

I think what John_M says makes a lot of sense. My issue at this point is my pressure is at 5cm. The Encore reports show that I still have an AHI of 15.3, so my pressure needs to be higher.....I need to read my report and find out if they titrated me at 5, but I sent the reports to the Doc and recomm...

It does take some time -- I'm on day 11 and I'm doing ok....not great, but getting used to the whole thing. I've got the comfort gel mask and it seems to be good for having a mustache (I'm surprised it seals, but.....). I think I need a smaller size so I have a meet with the DME to try it out. One t...

Mask would be top of my list since it's the piece that actually touches anything that would have the active "virus germs". But I'd do everything as I am not an overly obsessive hand washer and the "germs" can be moved from handling!!! That would mostly be external stuff, but it can't hurt to "saniti...

Hey Chris, It's essential to maintain a good sense of humor.... I call the mask, my alien suit.....freaks out the critters (really a kick) When I lived in Mexico my nickname was Gonzo, which was gringo for Ganso, which is Spanish for goose.......... When I read your story I figured the "snoozing" wa...

I have to preface this with "I'm not a Doctor".....I did do a bunch of research on melatonin in the 80's when it was the "in thing".....I'm a natural skeptic!!! It does work!!! (at least it seemed to work with me) Melatonin is a substance that your body makes naturally in varying amounts. Babies cre...
