Re: mouth breather
Take a look at the Innomed Hybrid FFM -- they call it an FFM as you are seeking but really it is a combination of a nasal pillow and an oral mask. You could even blank off the pillow holes (tape or silicone cement) and use it as a straight oral mask. I like mine which was purchased to act as a backu...

Re: Empty pressure graph in sleepyhead this morning
I don't know why it is empty, but the Flow graph is good (better problably) for that purpose too.

Re: Semi OT - What this Forum Has Done
Great story, Madalot. Did you give the PA (and the Doc) the forum url? If more docs would visit a place like this the quality of care would improve. I am pretty sure that the docs DO NOT learn how to REALLY THINK about these machines in detail. The learn the signs and symptoms, the diagnostic tests,...

Re: question about family members using Cpap
You didn't post your numbers, your age, your weight, your other health factors, etc. BUT.... Since you yourself are using CPAP there is a strong chance you will need to use it for the rest of your life. And that is before even considering your family. Sometimes surgery or weight loss can get people ...

Re: Good Mail Order DME?
First: If you are NOT using insurance to buy your stuff then CPAP.com (our forum host) probably can't be beat. These folks have good prices (maybe the best without insurance) and are great about keeping their word (heck, they SOLICIT returns if you have return insurance, even FREE return insurance -...

Re: Done. Finished. I GIVE UP!
We should all just use sleepy711 incorrect posts as reminders to go add a truthful but negative review to those locations where it sells that atrocious 'book' with so much incorrect info. Those who use iTune can review there and those of us who use Kindle or Nook can add them to those sites. Just be...

Re: Sleepyhead?
For an S9 SDCard, you can use almost any standard SD Card reader.
One that is on your machine already or a cheap one you buy off Amazon etc. and plug into a USB connector.

Re: Done. Finished. I GIVE UP!
So you didn't describe why you took off the mask after 1 1/2 hours of sleep with the hybrid? Maybe that was the best thing to do, maybe it wasn't. I probably have only slept through the night COMPLETELY a few times since starting CPAP. (This is better the pre-CPAP where I was getting up for the bath...

Re: New To CPAP
Since you seem able to use a nasal mask, consider a switch to nasal pillows.

Re: Done. Finished. I GIVE UP!
I am a mouth breather so I have chosen full face mask and a hybrid. If I used nasal pillows, would it keep my nasal passages open where I could breathe through my nose (and keep my mouth closed with a chin strap)? I was totally convinced that mouse breathing was the only way for me so my first orde...

Re: Reviews of new AirFit P10 Resmed nasal pillow mask thread
1) For you folks trying different pillow sizes on the P10: I have tried different sizes and switched maybe a dozen times or more; sometimes for cause and sometimes just as an experiment. IMO: Small gives be best numbers and "fit" but is not the most comfortable. Large is comfortable but more likely ...

Re: Here is my report..help me understand this stuff
I didn't see anything except a black screen, even for the last URL in the 2nd post. There are 3 sharing sessions on Google Drive: 1) Public (searchable) 2) Anyone with the URL 3) Only certain people (logged on with their Google account) My first guess is you have it set to #3. Maybe there is a diffe...

Re: How to figure out if Aetna will pay for my CPAP
If the Doc prescribes APAP (which you say he did) for OSA (which begins at AHI 5 which you have) then likely Aetna will pay. I have Aetna and called them on a matter where PROBABLY were not contractually obligated. I had a new mask that would not work and asked when I could get a new one. After a fe...

Re: Humidifer & cleaning
I don't bother with distilled water -- the reservoir is easy enough to clean. I never both to dump the water unless traveling (so it won't spill in the bag.) Every couple of weeks, I open it up and clean it with hot water and maybe liquid soap. (Been meaning to put it in the dishwasher but its just ...

Re: Cleaning a hose
Like Pugsy said (sort of). Caveat: I am NOT a clean freak but prefer reasonable cleanliness while having no time to waste on the unnecessary (I use that up posting in forums ) I went about 45-50 days before one night thinking my air smelled a LITTLE off, maybe a little like mildew or stale water. It...
