Re: is the myair app accurate
The machine will give you a red frowny face if your leaks exceed 24 L/min for 70% of the time or more. Below that you'll get a green smiley. However, this is a ludicrously low bar to set. In this case (only) the data from MyAir is more "correct" than relying on the smiley face on the machine.

Re: Resmed airsense 10 takes a break at end of breath
G'day BlackBags, welcome to the forum. It sounds like the EPR (expiratory pressure relief) isn't properly synching with your breathing. If you have EPR turned on, it reduces pressure slightly as you exhale. It then increases it again as you inhale. The available settings are 0 (off), 1, 2 or 3 - whe...

Re: Resmed Airsense 10- EXTRA Large Water Tank
If you have a really big bedside table, you can use an external tank such as the CSpring. Personally I find the existing Resmed tank is just big enough.

Re: ResMed AutoSense 11 Date Range Help needed!
I think your options are pretty limited on MyAir. As an alternative, you could try either Oscar or SleepHQ (links in my signature). Both of these let you view trend data, and you can set a custom date range. Whether your doc will accept either of these is, of course, unknown until you ask. He/she mi...

Re: ASV machines
Do I absolutely have to have an ASV machine? If you have central sleep apnea (including complex apnea, mixed apnea and/or Cheyne Stokes respiration) then yes, you do need an ASV. Would you still need an ASV (with Central/Mixed/Complex Sleep Apnea and/or CSRs even if your APAP (EPR 3) was consistent...

Re: Inclined bed: a solution for apnea's and snoring...?
I sleep on a big stack of pillows and my home sleep study STILL had my AHI at 82. So no. I have fallen asleep sitting straight up (in the car, in a plane, when really tired in other places where sleep is not appropriate) and I have apnea almost immediately. Unless a sleep test confirms that apnea i...

Philips discontinues many products
Philips have announced the discontinuation of many respiratory products including the Dreamstation Go, various ventilators, oxygen concentrators etc. Apart from the Go, it looks like Dreamstations are still being produced. https://www.usa.philips.com/healthcare/e/sleep-and-respiratory-care/src-portf...

You'll be fine! I've had central apnea for years and the ASV treats it perfectly.

Re: STICKY....OSCAR download apneaboard and ads..please read
Thank you for removing the top advertisement. However, there is still a huge ad across the bottom of the page. When this is closed, yet another "start download" button appears in the left sidebar. I understand that the ads are necessary to generate revenue, but they are particularly insidious being ...

Re: STICKY....OSCAR download apneaboard and ads..please read
Having worked with Supersleeper for some years I have a deep and abiding dislike of the man, for reasons I won't go into here. However, in fairness, I have to say that without him there would be no Oscar. After Mark Watkins (inventor of Sleepyhead) shut down that project, it was Apnea Board members ...

Re: STICKY....OSCAR download apneaboard and ads..please read
I think you're all missing an important point. The ads do not appear anywhere on the Sleepfiles page - they are in the Apnea Board wiki which includes all the download instructions and Oscar operating instructions. So while it's entirely possible to download Oscar without seeing an ad, new users WIL...
