Getting AHI lower

looks like you are down to centrals, which is good. because i'm with pugsy; those might be either fake centrals or something that will go away over time.

I am reasonably certain most of those are awake/arousal related centrals. Some for sure as they are flagged right before and after a known awake time when the machine was turned off.
Given the fact that last night was a first time using the collar....I am betting even more wake ups from just getting used to the collar.

If after a couple of weeks or so with the collar and no other changes the centrals are still a bit numerous and they are for sure the real deal then we will look at other options.

But now my cervical collar is starting to allow my jaw to lower. I guess it was cheap. I got a 4" one off of Amazon and it only took 10 days for it to loose it firmness. Any suggestions?

I saw a post about DMI collars from Walmart. I'm ordering those to try, but not sure they will last any longer...

there are several foam cervical collars on amazon. don't know which one you baought.

mostly i buy at the local drugstore and they last me a good 2-3 months before they start to sag on me.

Did you get a soft foam or firm foam cervical collar? This is the one I use:

I use the 4 inch collar, and my wife uses a 3 1/2 inch collar. We usually get around two months wear out of a collar before it becomes too soft to use.

for sure i've purchased at walgreens and cvs. i THINK i've seen them at rite aid as well.

You sound like my case.
I started on APAP and my doc said we should switch to CPAP as APAP was having problems with me.
After that my AHI dropped rapidly.
I went from APAP 6-10
To CPAP 8
and ultimately CPAP 9

I’m now constantly under <2 AHI

May not help you but it’s something to look at.

New collar arrived and I'm back getting a good night's sleep. I lowered the pressure and it's been pretty successful. A few OSAs during the night.

I think I'm going to keep it like this for a few nights and see how it goes.

Looking good. Keep up the good work.

We all can have "off" nights here and there for any number of reasons. Sometimes we know what the reason was and sometimes we just don't know what happened.
When you have them....don't panic...shrug your shoulders and move on.

You've come a long way from where you were at the beginning of this thread.....sit back and enjoy the ride.

Everything is still going well. Having a few bouts with aerophagia. Nothing too serious, but can be kind of annoying.

I've researched a little on aerophagia relief but not sure I want to mess with the pressures.

as long as you are feeling good at the current pressures, leave it for now. some folks find that their bodies acclimate and the aerophagia goes away.

Hi all!

All is still going very well. Thank you all again!

Now I'm moving on to the more annoying, mundane part of CPAP therapy. I use the ResMed F20 mask. The harness is causing my scalp to irritate. I have long hair so it's not touching the scalp itself. Just wonder if it's not allowing my scalp to "breathe" or something like that...

It's getting kind of annoying

I've noticed this behavior a few nights in the screen shot below. For some reason my AirCurve seems to max out at 22. But I have the settings to max out at 25. Anyone have an idea on what might be going on?
