Central Sleep Apnea

Post by Horrorbiz78 » Mon May 20, 2024 11:29 pm

Hello,
I’m new this forum and have some questions. I recently got diagnosed with Central Sleep Apnea and I’m currently waiting on my ASV machine. I found a document from my Sleep Dr that I’m guessing goes to my insurance and the Medical Supply Company that says what type of machine that says Resmed ASV VPAP, what Resmed PAP will that be? And what does VPAP mean?

Thank you,

Matt

Most likely they will supply the ResMed AirCurve 10 ASV,
The AirCurve 11 ASV was just released a short time ago and most likely that model isn't so readily available just yet.

ResMed no longer uses the term "VPAP" in their model name description. That was old school terminology mainly to denote a bilevel capable machine.

From the research I did,I thought it would be the Curve 11 but the 10 makes sense.

Thank you for your help.
