Hot CPAP "babes"

Post by JeffL » Thu Jan 30, 2014 10:52 am

I've been away from the forum for a while, so if someone else posted this, I missed it.
I usually don't pay attention to the directed ads that appear on some web pages, but, "Using a CPAP Makes You Sexy - Don't Miss the Photos That Prove It", caught my attention!

Edit: There are some guys there too, but I didn't notice them the first time

Too bad they had no clue as to how to wear these masks properly .
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.

I think it was in the "news" box above awhile back --(or in my email).
Our host's competitor, hmmm, can we say, "pandering".
It's OK, Jeff, snow on the roof, and all that. Enjoy!
We ladies have our own cpap "porn".

Someone just did a lot of PhotoShop work putting stock photos of the mask all by itself onto faces.
They did a nice job though....gotta look real close to see that there's no headgear straps.
Being a woman...I wasn't distracted by the girls other attributes so I noticed the photoshop work.

I doubt that the masks are all that was PhotoShopped. There was a story on 60 minutes that revealed that almost all model pictures are enhanced.

Wow, you mean I was supposed to wear my mask on the beach?!?!?!

Thanks. Now I know one company I will never order from as their advertising insults me on so many levels. In my mind they are now deceptive and untrustworthy. Like many years ago in my area a huge car lot sign had a bikini clad girl standing next to a used car.

Or maybe they read our forum with suggestions to wear your mask during the day to get used to it...

Thank you for posting, Jeff. This explains my failure to feel better on cpap -- I was foolishly wearing my mask at bedtime instead of during my normal daytime activities -- at the gym, at the beach surfing, while teaching my class, and while working on my car.

If we're still voting on Photoshop: I think somebody went crazy with it... and not crazy in a creative way.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Yes, it does look like wearing swimwear makes cpap work better, from the smiles on their faces...Pretty cheesy marketing, don't take that as a complaint, though *smile*.

Only three of the eight woman are in bikinis. They are very well covered up in the rest of the pictures. Personally I find the "teacher" picture the most provocative.

Ya know, the skin showing wasn't what really irked me, it's just skin. It was more the introduction implying that these models were actually selected from a group of CPAP users. I bet if I cared enough to search I'd find the pics in some of the stock photos available online. But even if I'm wrong, the writing sounded like the narration of a really bad fashion show. I think I'm a bit over-sensitive to some in the sleep industry treating those with sleep apnea like they are stupid, so I was quick to get irritated. It's actually laughable more than anything.
