Okie and Ozij, thank you for responding to my message earlier this year. For some reason I did not see your responses until tonight. My apologies. I did not mean to ignore you.

Occasionally unable to breath when using CPAP

Hi all, I am posting this for a family member who had APNEA symptoms (some light snoring, fatigue, etc.) They did an at-home test that showed 6 or so events per hour. The doctor prescribed them a CPAP machine that was set for a range of 4-12. After several nights during which they had the usual diff...

Re: A bit off-tipic: Need help with O2 Homefill system

If I understand your question correctly, I did a quick search and found this: http://www.deltaoxygensolutions.com/id97.html That may be what you are looking for. Another site: (possibly less expensive) https://saltcityglass.com/products/homefill-whip-2/ Thank you for the links. The adapter on the D...

Re: A bit off-tipic: Need help with O2 Homefill system

The problem will be finding someone to help, most people are is such poor health they may not be able to master the work side of filling tanks. Not to say the cost of the unit. Jim I am sure that is partly the reason there is so little information online about this modification and about using oxyg...

Re: Can I use a male N-20 mask on a "for her" AirSense 10?

Can I use a male N-20 mask on a "for her" ResMed AirSense 10? Will they match? Thanks! You'll need either a male-to-female adapter or a female-to-male adapter. Unfortunately, those are extremely rare. The only adapters you will find are male-to-male or female-to-female. And those sound totally poin...

A bit off-tipic: Need help with O2 Homefill system

I have searched online but can't seem to find the CPAPTalk equivalent for oxygen users. So, I hope someone here can refer me to somewhere where I might find the answers I am looking for. I am helping an acquaintance who is getting a used Invacare concentrator and Homefill system. She is only getting...

How to improve bad(?) CPAP diagnosis and set up

Last week I learned that my brother-in-law had been diagnosed with apnea and prescribed a CPAP machine a couple of months ago. In that time, he averaged one hour, or less, of use per night and was on his way to giving up therapy. When I looked at his machine, I was pleased to find that he had been g...

Re: Using S9 with slimline hose and without humidifier

Thanks for the suggestions. Turning the hose around almost worked (there was not enough resistance to keep the mask coupling from slipping out). I dug around my closet and found a non-heated slimline hose that fit perfectly. Much easier and lighter to travel without the humidifier now.

Using S9 with slimline hose and without humidifier

Is it possible to use the S9 with the slimline hose and without the humidifier? When I connect the hose to the side outlet on the main unit, the orange tab (where the power connections are) on the hose prevents the host from fitting. I have a standard, generic tube somewhere but it's bulky and stiff...

I have two Small and two Large P10 pillows. They came with the P10 masks so they are not individually packaged. But they are new/never used. PM me if interested. Thanks.

Wild stats with new Oracle oral mask

Hi all, it's been a while since I've been on the board. And it's good to see that the "regulars" that helped me when I started on CPAP four years ago are still around. A couple of years ago, I started treatment for allergies. For those that don't know what is involved, the treatment is based on Alle...

Re: How to open Resmed S9 to perform repair?

How is the knob held on? Is it captured by the cover, screw, etc.? The rectangular component in the last picture normally has the metal rod shown in the second picture sticking out of it. The knob just slips onto that rod. So if you slip a flat object under the knob (as I just did on my other machi...

Re: How to open Resmed S9 to perform repair?

Thanks for the suggestions. It turns out that the case is secured only by the single screw that I had already removed and a bunch of plastic tabs on the sides and back of the top and bottom panel. For anyone interested, here's what under the top plastic cover. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7210/6878...

The one fastener that is visible requires a hex key. What I can see of the other three fasteners (if that's what is at the bottom of the recesses) is a flat surface over which the various hex keys and screwdrivers I've tried have had no effect.
