Re: Titrated pressure vs Current
Are you having problems with your pressure settings? I would say they've been in flux basically for 2 years, when I first realized I could see the data on Oscar. A recap: Initially was just given a large range on apap, which is completely useless as most of you know, though I didn't. Prob averaging...

Re: Titrated pressure vs Current
I was titrated 6 years ago in an in lab sleep study at 11.0 fixed with an AHI of 44. I use 6.2 min EPAP, 16.0 max IPAP (have never hit it), and 2.2 PS on a ResMed VCurve VAuto (bought 2 years ago from LSAT). My average EPAP for the last year is 7.1, 95% IPAP is 10.7 and AHI is 0.8. Wow, you're sayi...

Titrated pressure vs Current
Hi, of those of you that have self-titrated using oscar or sleephyhead as well as had an in lab titration, what was the spread between your lab-titrated and self-titrated pressures?

Re: Suspecting long term Nasal Pillow use alters nose shape?
Take a look at yourself with nasal pillows on at 10 cm of pressure, and then I think you'll understand how one may suspect it could change nose over time. constant pressure / force on a body part can change it's shape. it takes years, but it can happen

Suspecting long term Nasal Pillow use alters nose shape?
Hi, has anyone noticed their nose changing shape (getting wider/ more boxy) that they believe is from nasal pillow use? I've previously suspected it but thought it was crazy. But now I'm quite sure, lol. And I'm in my early thirties, so I don't believe this is normal aging. And yes, i'm vain enough ...

For Sale: Aircurve VAuto (6 months use) >1 yr warranty.
Hi, Is anyone interested in buying an aircurve vauto? The device is in good condition. It does make a bit more noise than I feel it should, but if that's an issue you can just send it in for warranty service/replacement. Not sure exactly the hours of use, but it's about 6 months of daily use. Will i...

Re: Pap & sinus infections....
Hi, I find that I often get sinus infections with PAP, and when I get them, they're severe. I'm going to clean the equip more consistently now. But I also find that, if I've been infected, I basically have to forgo therapy for the duration of the infection, and then replace the hose, tank, and mask...

Re: Pap & sinus infections....
no but then replacing the equipment solves the problem. Soap and Vinegar don't kill everything. Maybe I wasn't clear, by "no amount of cleaning prevents reinfection" I meant by the same equipment, not new equipment.

Re: Straw Poll: CPAP or Positional?
Thanks, but I wouldn't have stuck with this for 3+ years, trying 3 different machines, 5 different masks, 3 different chinstraps, 2 lab titrations, and countless pressures settings, and religiously check my data everyday, if I didn't desire it to work. And as far as I can see in the data, it is work...

Re: Straw Poll: CPAP or Positional?
Myofunctional therapy isn't a scam. It's clinically shown to reduce AHI by about 50% in adults. That's obviously not enough for most people with OSA, even for me. But on my side I had very little obstruction, is why it's a good supplemental move.
