I've been on CPAP therapy for 2 1/2 years and using the Res Med Activa nasal mask for about 2 years. I've recently developed irritation around my nostrils, sort of like chapped lips. Any suggestions?

One month shy of my 55th birthday when I started cpap therapy in June 2009.

This is my first winter on CPAP therapy. I'm having two skin issues. The first is chapping. The second is I've recently switched from the swift LT nasal pillow to the activa LT and my skin is red and raw around where the mask seals. Any suggestions?

My wife will tell you the machine is much quieter than my snoring. I started cpap therapy 4 weeks ago. At first I could only use it a couple hours per night. I'm up to about 6 hours now and several times have gone 7 or 8. I feel better. And I wake up rested. What a novel feeling!
