Re: CPAP causing vertigo symptoms??
There are a couple of reasons this could be happening. One is your ears. The pressure from the pap could be throwing off the little balance sensors in there. It could also be your blood pressure. If you are on high blood pressure medicine, and apnea is the cause of your high blood pressure, your blo...

Re: CPAP Cleaners
I actually run my stuff through the dishwasher once a week. Im new at this so I probably wont do it as often soon enough. You can use sensitive skin baby wipes to give the mask a wipe down before bed.

Im assuming it would clean my mask and hoses. I personally wouldn't pay much. Its not that hard to clean them.

Re: Newlywed & Newly diagnosed!
My husband flops like a fish, coughs all night, hits me, kicks me, you name it. We found separate blankets help as does a king sized bed. Our honeymoon was over ages ago though and since the kids have moved out, we most often kiss goodnight in the hall and head our separate ways.

Re: Is it safe to assume,,,?
Now back to my question: When I was diagnosed with severe OSA two years ago I was given a CPAP pressure of 7cm in the lab. True, this number seems "low" for an apnea that is Severe, but that's what I was given.. Now, after surgery [in which a diviated septum was corrected and significant tissue had...

Re: Do I need a doctor to use a cpap
I do live in a place where I have easy access to a doctor. HOWEVER I had to pay for a large chunk of my sleep study because i wanted a home one instead of in hospital (in hospital it would have been free.. but wouldnt have been any good cos i have panic attacks in strange places). and I am now havi...

Re: ClimateLine
I use Vetwrap to wrap the ends of both our Climateline and Slimline hoses before they ever get hooked up. This stiffens the hose to end piece connection, since I know all too well where these puppies tear. Our current climatelines have been in use for a year now--same hose every night. Nice thing--...

Re: Probably a silly ? from a newby
Not a silly question at all. Its a very good one. I completely agree with all of the posters above me, daily adherence is important however... I'm a Mom and when I saw your question I instantly thought of what a great opportunity this will be for you. There will be consequences but you may decide th...

Re: My three night stand, and now she is leaving...
I really like the idea of taking an apap home for 3 days vs an overnight titration at a sleep center. At least from my personal experience, the one uncomfortable night I spent there didn't give an accurate account of a normal night. This also gives you a few days to see how you do on a pap. Theoreti...

Re: Changing sleep pressure
When my titration was done I was pretty sure that they raised the pressure slowly during the first half of the night to 13, then forgot about me and it stayed at 13 for the second half of the night. The nurse practitioner tried to keep the surprise out of her voice but failed. My results had also be...
