Re: Fine white floaty things in water chamber?

They only float like jellyfish, but are just little wavy stringy things that float around. Hopefully not sentient

Re: Had it with local CPAP suppliers

I have a family member on Kaiser (goes through Apria) and it's hard to say which party is dropping the ball harder on her orders. They're both equally terrible and we have had issues with both. I'm on United and going through a local DME which is owned by the hospital where my doctor works (no one m...

Re: Fine white floaty things in water chamber?

Is the bottom of the water chamber flaking off? I have seen silver particles in the water and am not pleased. I think that cleaning with a drop or two in vinegar in water may help clean up the water chamber when it starts deteriorating. White stuff does not just get there by itself and I would not ...

Re: Fine white floaty things in water chamber?

Thanks! Hopefully I got rid of it with my brief cleaning. I'm wary of putting tap water in there because the last time I did regular cleaning/use w/tap, it created a significant mineral deposit on the bottom, and I would wake up coughing when using tap for my water.

Fine white floaty things in water chamber?

I noticed the other night that there was some very thin, clear/white, floaty stuff in the chamber. I only use distilled water. I don't ever really clean the tank, though. It did not have a color to it (besides white--which contrasts with the clear water). It was just floating around, like a jellyfis...

https://www.resmed.com/us/dam/documents/products/Mask/airfit-p10/user-guide/airfit-p10-airfit-p10-for-her_user-guide_amer_eng.pdf The vent holes are multiple small holes on both sides of where the hose attaches to the plastic part the nasal pillow clips in to. There's a whole bunch of them on both ...

Neither will keep your lips closed, but the collar seems to be more comfortable according to most wearers.

I tried several chin straps, and could never find one I could stand. I use a firm foam cervical collar.

Any recommendations for a good collar?

The vent holes some times get clogged with moisture. Recommended method of cleaning is with a tooth brush or a water pic if you have one.
Thank you!

Re: CO2 issues with P10 resolved?

I think the resolve was, in reality there was no REAL problem that needed to be resolved other that normal vent cleaning like most masks. Jim Good to hear! Which part exactly needed to be cleaned? Vents? I don't have the P10 in front of me, but I don't recall any? It has been a while since I've mes...

CO2 issues with P10 resolved?

A while back, I recall a long thread that was filled with posts from a doctor (?) or the like, indicating issues with the P10 mask regarding elevated levels of Co2 or something. I can't remember if it was Co2, but there was some issue regarding the P10 not being the best mask for some gas/respirator...

Which chin strap to go with the Brevida?

Sup, party people.

Which chin strap do you guys recommend to use with the Brevida mask?

Would this also work on the P10?

Preference is for it to work with the Brevida, though. Thanks!

By any chance, was one machine made in Australia, but the other someplace else?
Nope; both machines are from Singapore.

Re: Two Autoset 10 For Her but they sound different at exhale?

Is this the sound? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pp_xMg3sHlg&feature=youtu.be I bought an Autoset 10 For Her a few weeks ago, and this is the sound it started to make on the second night. (That isn't my machine, but it's the exact same noise.) I took mine back to the dealer after a couple of week...

Two Autoset 10 For Her but they sound different at exhale?

We now have two Autoset 10s For Her so I have been able to play around with the new one. The new one (confirmed 0 run time hours) sounds like a small engine whirring sound. Almost like a mechanical sound. Has a little rumble to it, but not like it's shaking things. But you can notice it if you're ne...

Re: Having an extremely dry mouth is a sign of mouth breathing?

As for the large leak...impossible to know for sure if it is mouth breathing or not but with the dry mouth complaint...obviously very suspect for mouth breathing but I have personally seen worse looking leak graphs with my mouth taped shut so it wouldn't be impossible for those leaks to be mask mov...
