The post was resurrected by someone who decided to post the same thing multiple times...not only last night but the first night.
I removed all of the posts but the one in this thread yesterday morning...just in case it was legit but my spam radar went off yesterday morning. Just smelled spammy.
Full glaring radar alarm this morning when he came back last night and resurrected even more zombie threads with the exact same message.
He won't be doing it again but since so much interaction has happened in this thread I will leave it in place.....no links are in it and all it does is mention a cpap brand that has been dead for years.

For anyone wondering about the spam aspect... aside from the fact it was duplicate posts in zombie threads, one thing that spammers do is to post something, then come back later when nobody's watching, and edit that post to have links to whatever they're promoting, and then those links get picked up by search engines, which provides higher results in the search engines.

oh! thank you for that. i was wondering just what the poster would get out of it, other than the lulz, which think is ridiculous.

What the spammers often try to do is get their posts to show up and then later they sneak back and add spam links into either the body of the post or more likely add spam links to whatever in their signature line and then all the posts they made will have the signature with spam show up and all they have to do is add the signature line.

I have no way of knowing when people edit their own posts or make changes to signature lines.
I see new accounts first post before you guys do but after that I have to rely on the new post/reply thing that you all have. Changing an existing post or signature line doesn't get any sort of flag for me to see.

So sometimes something smells spammy but I don't have any concrete reason in front of me to a new account post and it gets approved.
One sort of weird off the wall post isn't a big deal but several of the same thing adds up to spammer.

Repeating the same thing over and over and over again is considered spam even if there aren't specific links to websites or products in the post. So with or without obvious spam links to something...unwanted and taking up server space and giving someone some jollies and I won't do it. They will get the axe swiftly and pretty much all their garbage will go bye bye.
