Re: Can CPAP cause depression/anxiety?
Life is full of risks and choices. None of us are getting out alive. We live one day at a time like we use this therapy.....one night at a time. "Get busy livin' or get busy dyin'." (quote from the "The Shawshank Redemption") Den . Good quote cause that about sums it up... but for some folks who ar...

Re: Not Consistant
well that is interesting... seems like adding booze makes you relax/pass out and you are sleeping better.. you went over 6 hours without waking... does this happen when you drink? does your lower AHI coincide with/when you drink? I've had this experience, at least with feeling better on waking up.

Re: Meds
I may see if I still have a prescription for Provigil; if so I may triple the dose and see if that helps. I only slept five hours last night, so another day of hell ahead. The big problem with Provigil and Nuvigil is the off switch - they don't have one. It may be impossible to get the right dosage...

Re: Brain Damage and Sleep Apnea: Dr. Ronald Harper
The one I bought was really stiff. I'm glad I didn't wear or or I may have gotten even less sleep last night. If there's one thing I've learned from all this is to not give in to hope, so I'm not in a hurry to buy another one. About hurrying, you rushed out and bought the wrong collar. It would hav...

I bought a couple of them at RIte Aid. I suppose you can try different ones. Keep in mind this does not replace xPAP. You have to use it with xPAP. John The one I bought was really stiff. Re: Meds
I know you said you can not sleep in strange places and I am the same. I also don't drive at night and never in the morning before I have had a shower and coffee. I got through it and slept enough for the test. You can do this. Give it serious thought. See what your doctor's think. Find a sleep lab...

Re: Not Consistant
I bumped my min pressure to six. I had one ok night and 2 miserable nights. There is no consistency. Why can I have a good night, but not be able to repeat it? It seems like I get one ok night a week. I am always tired, my legs feal like lead.My life is pretty much over. I cant work, any more.I bet...

I bought one at the grocery store; I probably should have ordered a more expensive one. This one looks kind of stiff.

Would one of those whiplash collars work? I've seen them at the grocery store.

Re: apnea and the eyes
My eyesight has deteriorated rapidly the last two years, coinciding with the onset of apnea.
