Question about generic adapt sv filters.
Hi. I have a resmed vpap adapt sv machine. It came with "ag industries" filters. At first I though they were original but after reading the manual I realized they weren't. The manual says to put the tinted (blue) side facing outside, but my filters are white and yellow. The yellow side faces the out...

Re: Help with resmed autoset II / spirit II
Well translating the summaries has nothing to do with turning all pressure reliefs off in the resmed autoset II/spirit II, however here it is (your review is welcomed): FIRST STUDY: (to check if I had sleep apnea or not) basal nocturnal polisomnography: motive: osa suspicion sleep time: 5:13 hours o...

Re: Has anyone else experienced this? (from using FFM)
When I asked the insurance company for a full face mask, the gave me one which was too small. It put pressure in my lower teeth. If I moved the mask towards my chin, then the upper part of the mask would close my nostrils. I asked for a bigger mask and they kept bringing me the same size until the w...

Help with resmed autoset II / spirit II
Hi. Before starting: The point of this thread is to learn how a resmed spirit II (autoset II in the usa?) can be set so absolutely no pressure relief or the like takes place, just basic dumb autocpap. Because I feel the first titration was distorted by it AND I'M HAVING MY SECOND TITRATION SOON. Mor...

Re: How to home titrate the adapt sv?
(3) Questions for you to answer, now, with respect to your first trial: 1. Roughly, how many times did you get up each night to go to the bathroom? 2. Did you have any dreams during your first trial? 3. if you are not using the standard CPAP hose, What kind of hose are you using? 1- With or without...

Re: How to home titrate the adapt sv?
Ok, I spent last 7 nights sleeping in these settings and I have used the machine for the entire night. I have felt very tired these days, more than usual. What now?. Are you using your machine in timed mode or spontaneous mode? This machine cannot be set in timed or spontaneous, I guess is a mix bet...

Re: How to home titrate the adapt sv?
Ok, last night I set the machine to EEP=8 MINPS=3 and MAXPS=10. In six nights I will comeback.Self Titration on the Adapt SV begins with EEP set at your prescribed CPAP setting. Set Min PS at 3cmH2O. Set Max PS at 10cmH2O. Maintain those settings for 7 nights. Tell us how you feel.

How to home titrate the adapt sv?
In my other thread ( http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=53589&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=maybe+bipap ) I wrote about cpap wasn't working. I had a respironics autocpap machine and a respironics mask too small (the insurance company just gives people size M). I barely reached 3 hours per night of u...

Re: Long term use of CPAP - any negatives
IMO it is unlikely that you are going to find a person who uses regulary CPAP for years if it doesn't work or it has important "negatives". Let alone reply you in this forum. (S)he who doesn't sleep well with cpap will abadon it in the long term.

Where to buy a mirage quattro? (not in cpap.com)
Hi. Hopefully I'm about to receive a resmed vpap adapt sv, and it seems that the mirage quattro is the recommended mask. So I need to buy one of them by internet. I know cpap.com is often the reply to these kind of threads but I'm in Spain and they don't ship here. I would like to know some trustabl...

How to disinfect a second hand adapt sv? What Could I catch?
Hopefully I'll receive a second hand resmed vpap adapt sv in a few days. What diseases could I catch using a second hand machine? (Worst case scenario) How can I disinfect a vpap adapt sv? ( I mean its inner parts, not tubing mask etc) Some people say the microbes won't reach the machine, but some p...
