C-Flex

Post by Kristy5550 » Thu Sep 30, 2004 2:21 pm

I was wondering if there are others using a cpap with C-Flex?
I got a new cpap machine recently and I LOVE the new feature.
I had a LOT of trouble getting used to using my cpap.
I finally found a mask that works for me.
It is wonderful to be able to go to bed and actually get some rest!
Sweet dreams,
Kris :-)

Hi Kristy,

I don't use cflex but I have tried it, and it is a great feature.

It really is a good thing when you find the right combination of mask and machine and you start sleeping again.

Thank you for sharing your positive experience.

Kristy,

What cpap machine did you use before your current machine with c-flex?

My last machine (Remstar Pro Cpap) died of old age (or at least serious use!). You know it's time to buy a new machine when you began having serious motor problems with it. I bought, on the advice of my sleep disorder doctor, a Remstar Pro with C-Flex. Wow!!! What a difference! After nearly four years of using the regular CPAP without a problem, I switched to this new version and I was just amazed!! I used to occasionally have sore rib muscles from breathing against the air pressure all night long, and that is gone. The machine also runs quieter, but does have a slightly annoying Darth Vaderlike feature of having the machine sound as if it is audibly breathing in and out all night long on the bedstand beside you. I actually find it a bit reassuring, now that I'm used to it. At least I KNOW I'm still breathing at night now!

Hi,
I use C-flex and like it but I don't have anything to compare it with. Actually, they gave me the wrong machine for a few days and then switched it to the c-flex one but I couldn't tell a difference. Was all too new. I use a comfort gel mask and like it but am interested in trying an activa next time.
CPAP has saved my life!!
