Re: how to fix on/off button resmed s8 autoset spirit 11
I had to remove the Blue Plate containing all the buttons, not just the power/on/off botton. Start at the top center of the Blue Plate and use a small screw driver free the plate at the top. Then work your way to the bottom. There are three points holding he plate, one at the top center and two at t...

Re: Low AHI, only hypopneas, could CPAP be worthwhile anyway?
I would really like to know more about the relationship between Sleep Apnea and Vitamin D. I will continue using my CPAP, but will address the question of low Vitamin D in my case. I would appreciate comments from anyone else having a low Vitamin D/Serum Level count. By Dr. Gominak What happens whe...

Re: Low AHI, only hypopneas, could CPAP be worthwhile anyway?
I have been using my CPAP for over three years with positive results the first year. The last two years have not been as good. I'm tired most of the day and wake-up at 3:00 AM every morning. I almost never have an apnea and my AHI stays between 3-6. I had my Vitamin D tested and it came back at 23 N...

Need Help with Resmed software
I have the Resmed software and have no problem downloading and viewing the results, but apparently only the "Summary Graph" information is being downloaded from the machine.
I click on "Detailed Graph" and receive the message "No detailed data available.
Thanks

Re: Aaargh--information overload...help! (2 of 3)
I have also been using the S8 AutoSet II CPAP Machine for the past four weeks...an excellent machine in my opinion. It's quiet and I have been able to review my Press, Leaks, AHI, AI, HI and usage every morning. I have the software purchased and downloaded from Ebay, but I'm still waiting for the ca...

Re: Rescan 3.5 vs 3.7
I downloaded Rescan 3.7 this morning and installed it on Windows 7 - 32 Bit I received the message..."Platform not supported" but it apparently installed. I can't provide any further information until the card reader is received. I'm assuming Rescan 3.7 will work even with the above message. Note: T...

Re: May have solved leakage problem
I'm finally seeing consistent numbers. The added elastic pressure strap holding the mask in place has helped with leaks. The pillows seem to produce some discomfort following a few hours of use, but again I'm a newbie and still adjusting to the mask and use of nose pillows. Thanks again for the help...

Re: May have solved leakage problem
Thanks for the suggestions. I will continue with the current settings. I turned up the heat on the humidifier last night and received my first "rain-out". I'm not sure if heat is necessary in my case. I have been using the humidifier without heat until last night without problems. The nightly temper...

Re: "Unofficial" Newbie
My experience was the same, but the technician did share the results with me, at my request, and said it appeared I had "moderate apnea". I'm still waiting for the finally results which take three to four weeks. I live in Medellin, Colombia ... but the medical service here is excellent in most cases...

May have solved leakage problem
Thanks to Rested Gal I had my first night with zero leakage. All my recordings since 22 Oct have been between 0.64/sec and 0.30/sec. I sleep on my side or face down and turn or change positions through the night. I started the process of elimination to address the leakage, first by taping the mouth ...

Re: Week 2, high leaks but low AHI
Pugsy: Thanks for the comments. I have the same question as "DreamOn" relating to the mask settings on my S8 Auto. It was purchased from Cpap along with my mask and I assume they set the machine to use the "Ultra" mask since the Headrest Nasal is not listed as an option. My mask is the "Headrest Nas...

Re: Week 2, high leaks but low AHI
Pugsy says: Your leak isn't that bad. You are in a different hotel bed every night. Your numbers are certainly acceptable and more importantly you report that you are feeling well rested. Pugsy: I'm also using the S8 Auto and my leaks are running between .24 and .30 at present. You state .40 L/sec i...

Re: Poll: How Long to Adjust & Start Sleeping Restfully?
I've been on my machine for ten nights. My energy level has increased and I no longer
sleep in the afternoon. I'm still dealing with high "leak" rates.
I started with an AHI of 16.3 and it's holding around 5.0 for the past three nights.(4.7 last night)
