OT - Anyone heard of Univera products?
I'm looking for any feedback, good, bad or otherwise about products sold by Univera. The company sells a very expensive line of vitamins, all natural & the 'signature' product is Aloe-Select, an aloe based product that promises a healthy way to increase energy & promote good health & well being. My ...

Re: Loose airfit p10
If you can sew (or have someone do it for you) then try shortening the strap by taking a 'tuck' in each of the straps. Another method would be wash & then dry with a hot blow dryer. Either way, what you described is a really loose fit & if you can get the headgear to the proper, smaller size, that m...

Re: Newbie: Looking For Airfit P10-Hints to Make This Work
My P10 experience has been good, but here are a few of my tips: Use the top strap to adjust tightness, bring forward or backward to find the 'comfort spot'. If the entire headgear if too tight, stretch it around a bowl or lampshade to loosen the elastic. Too loose? Wash in warm water (by hand) & let...

Re: Mask Variety
Julie, I agree with your initial post that visiting cpap.com is a great way for newbies to learn what masks might work for their individual needs. If a newbie, or just someone new to the forum just finding out that they CAN have other options regardless of what their DME might have them, is looking ...

Re: Kaviance for sleep?
Tango, According to the pharmacist I consulted it acts as a relaxant. Yes it can be taken earlier than bedtime, but my hubby takes all his herbals about an hour before he goes to bed. My friend who originally suggested it takes 1 am & 1 pm & that works for her. She additionally uses it as needed for...

Re: Kaviance for sleep?
My hubby uses Kavinace & he has had a good experience with it. He has used it along with 5-HTP, GABA & Valerian Root. He used just the straight Kavinace, not the Ultra PM, so I can't comment on that one. You will want to Google it for potential side effects. I would also suggest a discussion with a ...

Re: Can mask move your teeth over time?
Well, it is possible for PAP therapy to move teeth over time. I cannot say if it is specific to any particular mask, but it can happen & did happen to me. At the time I was at a pressure of 19 on straight CPAP. This can be corrected if caught early, with a simple retainer your dentist should be able...

Re: Sleep meds
Finnc, I know you said you tried OTC, but have you tried herbals? My hubby had to go off prescription sleeping pills, so has transferred to herbals & is actually sleeping better than with the RX. There are tons of herbals to be tried, so be careful if you mix them. My hubby takes a mix of 5-HTP, GAB...

Re: Double checking - what can I use on my face?
Although some folks makes jokes about gluten-free & gluten-sensitivity, I have a relative who died of Celiac disease. In her case it took them so long to diagnose it that she already had so much damage to her intestines for her to recover. My best friend was diagnosed with Celiac disease 2 years ago...

Re: What just happened.
Some people are more trusting than others. I do not lock my doors or windows but I have dogs who will definitely tell me if we have an intruder. The only intruder we have had in 28 years in our home was a guy who was trimming trees for the electric company. He was trimming a tree & for some unknown ...

Re: ResMed Cpap for sale
I agree with others here, unless your Dr orders a new sleep study, there is NO WAY to know for sure if you still have OSA or not. I would encourage you to keep the machine until you have another sleep study. With your machine the necessary data to determine that you are indeed 'cured' DOES NOT EXIST...
