Re: S9 Data Help

If you turn the machine off when you get up or if you have Smart Start enabled, then it will start the pressure again back at the lower number. That's they way it is supposed to work. Yeah I get that Pugsy. Any tricks of the trade other that switching my S9 to CPAP mode? It's the lower pressure AFT...

Re: S9 Data Help

Darn ... had lots of mask troubles last night. Anyone else on S9 auto have trouble when you stop treatment to go to the bathroom then start back up and pressure was 8+ when you woke but now back down to 5-6?

Re: S9 Autoset AHI

Last night was my first ever CPAP night. I was anxious/curious how the machine was functioning - it was so damn comfortable I was afraid the pressure was too low. I've also not slept well the past week or so and very sleep deprived - takes me longer to fall asleep and didn't want to contaminate firs...

Very cool. Wish I had noticed this before last night. I had some mask issues - all caused by me not fitting the mask properly at the start. Thanks!

Re: S9 Autoset AHI

Love you all thank you for putting me at ease. I fiddled all night second-guessing everything because the S9 auto and quattro mask were so comfortable HAHA. Out of 8.7 hours I THINK I logged about 3-4 actual sleep hrs. Felt great this morning but crashed by lunch-time. With the exhaust setting at 3 ...

S9 Autoset AHI

Anyone know how the S9 determines Obstructive vs. Central Apneas? My Sleep Study had absolutely no centrals - all Obstructive. My first night on S9 recorded 2 centrals. Can mask issues get counted as an event?

Re: How was your OSA/CSA discovered?

JDR: I too have been playing the "what if" game. Tough game to play cause the answer never changes the "WIN" which is accepting treatment for OSA. I have never looked forward in anticipation for medical treatment before now. Tonight will be my first night under the hose.

Re: New S9 auto set being delivered today--Finally

Great catch! I specifically asked exactly which equipment I was getting when I setup my DME appt Monday. I was happy my DME was dispensing as written and I too am getting my Resmed S9 Auto CPAP in about 2 hrs!

Re: How was your OSA/CSA discovered?

A couple of years ago my wife woke me and told me I stopped breathing in my sleep. This happened occasionally over the last two years. Last March I started having some discomfort in my neck that would not resolve. I started noticing I was waking multiple times each night due to neck discomfort. Shor...

Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.

I get my CPAP on Wed! I'm getting the ResMed S9 Auto which based on my research here is a great machine. In an unhappy situation I found comfort that I'm getting a good machine.

Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.

New member here and found some comfort reading your posts. Recently diagnosed with OSA after wasting over 2 yrs of my life not listening to my wife telling me I had it. For the past year I've been struggling with some unexplainable neuro-symptoms. My doc finally convinced me to have the sleep study ...
