I don't have equipment yet but have shopped at my local suppliers.
Based on this post,

I am posting my situation for any help or advice.
I've read through a lot of the posts and here's what I think I am supposed to share to get advice:
During REM sleep I had 59 events per hour. Outside of REM I had about 15 events.
I did a split night study. The second night I used a nasal mask. I felt like I slept great.
I was prescribed CPAP. My pressure is 7.
I am male, snore a lot and don't sleep alone. I am not a mouth breather unless I am congested. I have asthma but it is extremely well controlled.
My local supplier carries RedMed, Respironics and Fisher Paykel.
My DME will be covered by insurance but I have some control over what I get if I want to pay more. In the little research I've done, I was drawn to the S9 Elite because it looked like it had software available for it. But it looks like the SleepyHead open source project supports a lot of other machines.

I have the S9 Elite. It's a good machine.
