still here

Post by pandatx » Tue May 14, 2013 1:18 pm

Hey Everyone! Just letting you know I'm still here. Not making hardly any progress with my CPAP but I'm just letting that ride for now with the other stuff I have going on. Some nights I just don't even put it on. The nights I do, I don't seem to last more than 3 hours. I ordered a new mask (the Sleepweaver). We'll see if that helps. If not they have a 30 day return policy so I figure I have nothing to lose. If it works, that would be great. if not, I'll return it.

Just wanted to let you know I'm still around and checking in. Just don't have much to contribute these days.

howdy,
Glad you're still hanging in there. There's lots of posts on the SleepWeaver cause it starts out very comfortable and leaky. I've had 3 versions; the newer are less leaky.. make SURE it's the ADVANCED seal. It stays very comfortable, and I think with wear it seems to seal better. Hope this all works out for you. I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Unfortunately I didn't order the Advanced (just double checked with cpap.com). But I can return and exchange. Should I even try the Elan out? Or just send it right back for the Advanced?

Try it. There are people who hated the Advanced and loved the Elan.
Remember when it comes to any mask...one man's treasure is another man's trash.
You have it coming and have the free trial period....use it.

I prefer the Elan but both are very comfortable.

Good to see you, Amy! I've been wondering about you. Are you making any progress with the thyroid?

still struggling with the Graves. I get my first follow up bloodwork next week and then see the doc on the 30th. I run this roller coaster of scary high heart rate, take the meds, blood pressure drops too low. Stop meds, heart rate okay for 2 days then skyrockets. Emotions still out of control and bad muscle weakness. I was hoping for more improvement by now. Not sure why because they told me its a slow process. trying to keep my attitude positive. Just do what I can when I can. Thanks for asking xoxoxo

Glad to know you are still hang in there through everything.

I tried the Elan. I loved it. I was one of the ones that couldn't get it to keep a seal and sending it back was a difficult choice for me just because it was so comfortable. I hope it works out for you and no way to know till you try it.
