Medicare Rules for Mask Replacement ??
I am using a Resmed Swift LT mask. According to Medicare rules, the mask can be replaced every 3 months. HCPCS code A7034 is used and according to Medicare is for "Nasal Interface (Mask or Cannula type) used with positive airway pressure device, with or without head strap . This suggests to me that ...

Re: Varying AHI Readings on BiPap Auto SV Advanced
Thanks for your response, John. Here are my answers to your questions. Do you feel as if you are well rested in the morning? No- feel about the same as when I went to bed Do you feel as if a truck ran over you when you awaken? No Do you feel somewhere in between the two? Yes Do you have uncontrolled...

Re: Varying AHI Readings on BiPap Auto SV Advanced
Well, after 3-1/2 months I thought I would give an update to everyone who tried to help earlier. I continued to try all different settings for a minimum of 3 nights each and continued to have widely varying AHI's. I also tried forcing myself to sleep on my side for 4 nights and that did not change a...

Re: Fyi: Serial Cables that work to download data for Adapt SV
Well mine is the old one, so no use spending any more time or money. I wanted to get my AHI's off that machine. I'm having difficulty with my new machine (Respironics BiPap Auto SV Advanced) and wanted to be able to show my sleep doctor a comparison of AHI's.
Thanks for all the advice.

Re: Fyi: Serial Cables that work to download data for Adapt SV
Is there a way of telling if I have the "A" version? The machine is 4 years old. I sure don't want to spend any more time or money on this if I can't get AHI numbers.

Re: Fyi: Serial Cables that work to download data for Adapt SV
Well Radio Shack said the cable was a null modem but I have no way of knowing for sure. I may just order the cables you suggested. Before I waste the money, I do want to make sure that ResScan will give me my AHI readings from an Adapt SV machine. I have a printout my DME gave me a couple of years a...

Re: Fyi: Serial Cables that work to download data for Adapt SV
I got the cables but the ResScan software will not recognize the VPAP Adapt SV machine. Any ideas what's wrong?

Re: Encore 2 PRO Install Problem
Yes. my Encore Viewer works fine. I thought EncorePro would provide more data. Why would anyone except a doctor or DME with multiple patients want EncorePro ?

Encore 2 PRO Install Problem
Trying to install the 32 bit version on an XP computer. Have tried multiple times (and even on 2 different computers) and the whole installation locks up as soon as it starts to install the Encore2 PRO database. I have to hard boot the computer to get out. I have let the program sit for as long as 1...

Re: Varying AHI Readings on BiPap Auto SV Advanced
Put EPAP Min at 6 and PS Min at 3 (leaving all other settings alone) for last night and my AHI jumped to 17, % Triggered was 94% and Minute Vol was 7.9
What does this tell us? Should I try this setting for another night or two? I feel like I have jet lag today- probably a D+ on a scale of A to F.

Re: Varying AHI Readings on BiPap Auto SV Advanced
I guess I don't understand why, when my patient triggered breaths % drops so low for so much of the night, that my AHI doesn't jump way up. Doesn't that low % mean that the machine was taking over my breathing for almost 20% of the night? I will start a new "trial" tonight using EPAP Min at 6 and PS...

Re: Encore Pro 2
I hope this hasn't been answered somewhere else, but how does the Encore 2 PRO differ from Encore Reader?
