sleeping sitting after surgery advice
I've been diagnosed with melanoma/skin cancer on my face near my left cheekbone area. The good news is that they caught it early enough that I won't need chemo or lymph node treatment. The overall incision to remove the cancer is going to cover a significant part of my left cheek. (Approximately a 1...

Re: Best Full Face Mask For High Pressure Bipap
I've been using the Mirage Quattro for more than 3 years now with higher pressures. I started out with Bi-pap pressures over 20, but I'm now slightly lower with a 19 IPAP and 14.4 EPAP. I've tried the various new Resmed and Simplus masks that have come out over the past few years, but I keep going b...

Re: Sleepyhead vs Resscan
Has anyone heard any updates or work on Sleepyhead from JediMark?
it's been more than a year since the last update to the software. As best I can tell, its been more than 6 months since there were any responses to inquiries posted over at Source Forge website.

Re: Sleepyhead vs Resscan
I'm still using both Resscan & SH after 3 1/2 years on the hose.
Resscan runs much better in the latest version.... it runs quite nicely on my Windows 7 machine.
I too keep Resscan around mainly to verify things before my semi annual sleep doc visit

Re: Nothing working mask made tinnitus worse
I've got fairly high pressures.... 19 IPAP and 14.4 EPAP with a Mirage Quattro FFM. My tinnitus was dramatically reduced after I started CPAP therapy. The volume level on our TV got turned way down after about 2 months of CPAP use. I do notice that the buzzing seems to get louder when I am very tire...

Re: Bringing or Obtaining Distilled Water on a Cruise?
I've done 2 cruises in the past year... the room attendant was happy to give me a gallon of distilled water... AND he helped with taping my extension cord down to the carpeting to prevent tripping over it during the day

Re: Reordering supplies craziness.
I'm on my 2nd hose in 3 years... My original 1st hose was replaced because I accidentally poked a hole in it near the connector. I washed one hose after opening the package, but they've never been washed since.. I use a light weight fleece cover on my hose that gets washed semi-weekly with laundry. ...

Re: Waking up and not being able to fall back asleep at night
I totally agree... Sleepyhead regularly shows that my pulse rate & respiration rate spike when I go into REM. I just got back from visiting the other ENT. He mentioned that since I don't have issues during the day that the deviated septum may not be the issue that is causing me to wake up. He sugges...

Re: So Very New
yes, reducing your humidity may help...... it pays to watch the weather in your area & periodically adjust the humidifier settings accordingly.
My humidifier is set much higher during the winter and is practically off during the summer

Re: Padacheek dyed mask. Isn't ruined?
hmmm, I've used every color pad-a-cheek liner there is & never washed them before the 1st use.... I've never experienced any dying of my cushion. I too suspect that something in your wipes may have triggered it. FWIW.... Cushions & Liners are all the same color when you turn out the lights and go to...

Re: One year on with CPAP - lessons learned
Almost immediately, I stopped needing the middle of the night bathroom run... But I didn't notice any other changes until almost 6 months into my CPAP therapy... however, my wife noticed definite improvements in my mood within 60 days! There was a time around the 6-7 month period where it felt like ...

Re: When people say "My travel machine ..."
I hated unplugging all the cords & packing it up every time I traveled for business or on vacation.. My travel machine is a duplicate of my primary machine (Resmed S9 VPAP), including the H5i humidifier. I bought it brand new from second wind outside of insurance with a tax refund check. When I get ...
