Re: Best price on Airsense 11?

Mine came from Norco Medical and was in the $600-700 range if I remember right. My insurance paid it in full.

Re: Mask Leaks

Well, I'm glad to know you and thank you again! I had the old machine for 9 1/2 years --- with no way to know how good or bad I was doing and my doctor's office only occasionally reviewed! So I'd wear it the required 4 hrs a night for insurance coverage and forget it! With the new machine I'm using ...

Mask Leaks

It has been several years since I’ve posted here. I came by and read a few posts the other day and discovered the thread on mask leaks! Well, I started a new machine last Fall and have had a lot of problems with that. My new machine has the “MyAir” ap and I can see reports each day of how many hours...

Thanks for your quick responses. And thank you, Pugsy, for that link. Wow! Lots of discussion on cleaning our machines. I haven't been on the site for a while and forgot there is a Search option!

Cleaning CPAP machine

In an article I found in one of my diabetes magazine there were some instructions for caring for your CPAP machine. It was very thorough, except for mentioning how often you should thoroughly clean the machine, reservoir and tubing. I always clean the nasal mask every day, and the reservoir every ot...

Re: Elves!

Oh yes! had that happen several times over the past few months. I agree: it is either aliens or elves! Surely we wouldn't do that ourselves! I've been on my CPAP for over a year ... wonder if I will ever get comfortable with it??

Re: Snoring Hubby: the saga continues to shocking results

You are indeed a gem of a wife! Sometimes we have to be our own (and husband's) advocate in health issues and you perservered and won the battle for your husband. Hope he does well from now on!

Re: WISP MASK Question - still a newbie

I use the Wisp mask and find it the most comfortable of the six I tried. I believe my air vent is to the right on one side and I don't have air blowing that bothers me ... only my husband if I turn toward him! Hope you have discovered you can remove those metal fasteners on the straps, so you don't ...

Free software for PR System one Remstar?

My Sleep Technician said at my last appointment I did not need to check in for a year. I do not have software to monitor my use of my machine myself and hate to wait a year to get a report! I've been searching through old posts here, trying to find if there is free software available to download for...

Re: Wisp Mask: Learned something new

Yes, chunkyfrog, those are the clips. Mine are metal and really bother my face and ear lobes. I'm not worried about the Velcro tabs wearing out because with my insurance I can replace my mask every 6 months if neccessary.

Re: Neti Pot or Neilmed Sinus Rinse Bottle

I use the bottle rinse as well and really have had good results. I, too, have hay fever and allergic rhinitis. My pulmonary doctor told me I could use it 10 times a day if I needed it! Usually only use it once a day. How often are you or others rinsing?

Wisp Mask: Learned something new

Yesterday I met with the Sleep Therapy Technician. I have tried about 5 different masks in the 9 months I've used the C-PAP, and really like the Wisp mask. However, the metal tabs hurt my face! I've been using makeup pads between my cheeck and the mask, but that causes leakage. She told me that the ...

Re: OT: No more pricks.

Hopefully, the accuracy will be useful for T1's who need to test multiple times. Also pediatric, and brittle cases. What are T1s and who typically needs to test more often? I ask because my mom was diagnosed a couple years ago, and she was originally told to test 3 times a day. Then, last summer, t...

Re: Big decrease in CPAP use and heart palpitaions...connected?

I had premature ventricular contractions (feels like heart palpitating and skipping beats). After I stated on the CPAP I have noticed these sensations occur only rarely....and that is usually when I have a low blood sugar. So yes, I think it is related. You might want to check it out with your doctor.
