Re: Get to play Doctor
To answer your questions: * she has been using the P10 nasal pillows that have been free of leaking issues, up until now. Mouth breathing hasn't been an issue that we know of. She says she is comfortable with the nose breathing. Previous chart leaks over redline are excellent (0.00 - 0.5 range) and ...

Re: Get to play Doctor
Hope your birthday is going well and your family and friends are doing you right. When you return, maybe you can take a peek at this one with even wilder results. CA's are up again, seems she gets the odd night with these. AHI is at an all-time high. Seems the pressure went up at 1:30 AM (placed gre...

Re: Get to play Doctor
Thanks Pugsy,
I'll let it run 6-10 cm tonight and get back in another 24 hours with the new graph.
Cpap settings can wait for a bit more info. Still have approx 7 days left before we give it up.

Re: Get to play Doctor
I've been away ~ 24 hours and there are too many post to respond to all, especially after golfing and the 19th hole. They've all been read. Appreciate the feedback and glad to see some have entered the thread. For those that have a problem with me being sneaky, kiss m. ... , She was not told of the ...

Re: Get to play Doctor
I hope your wife really likes you, because if it were me on the receiving end of the fiddling, by now you'd have been on the receiving end of my elbow. But then, I'm occasionally aggressive that way. By the way, are Canadian divorces as expensive as American? You wouldn't turn things physical with ...

So, the worst AHI I've seen in what you've posted (I may of overlooked some) is 3.89. Not exactly horrible. The AHI's that have been posted include a significant number of CA's, which could be caused by not being used to and being disturbed by the therapy. These events could easily be reduced as yo...

Re: Get to play Doctor
Agreeing with Pugsy, I would try 6-10 for AT LEAST 3 NIGHTS in a row to try to establish a pattern. . Pugsy picked the lower number (6). Hoping the top number (10) that I picked is okay with her ... my reason for that is because at no time has the open settings or pressure gone above 10. Just tight...

Re: Get to play Doctor
Fair enough, point taken, I'll run an apap range of 6-10 cm tonight unless you have reservations with that. Made the wife aware of what I was doing last night, explained a few things to her about the graphs and let her pick a number for last night. She chose to retry 8 cm cpap because that is the nu...

Re: Get to play Doctor
I'd say it'd be better to NOT fiddle, and gather as much auto data as you could, you've got tons of time to fiddle with set pressures in the future Yep, y'all made me anal ..... it's not my fault. Clinic had a full week of data before the clinician gave me a green light. She knew ... my wife told h...

Re: Get to play Doctor
If the bulk of the AHI is CA/Central then changing the pressures isn't going to remedy the central index. Compare the "good" night with the "not so good fixed pressure" night and see if the % of each category is the same or different. The AHI of 2.70 above...has 1.66 CA index and 1.04 OA index...th...

Re: Get to play Doctor
bwexler and chunkyfrog: thanks for the tip, would go that way if there wasn't a free gov't option. Anyone here who needs one ... gets one, at taxpayer expense. She will get the same machine as me .... S9 Elite. No frills but you will get the machine you need vpap, bipap, cpap. Been titrated on an Au...
